We had the good fortune of connecting with Pablo Voloski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pablo, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Without a doubt, within my activity there are several types of work, from classes, recordings and concerts. But when I put the thought of touching people’s hearts through my art, magic happened. Doing something you feel good about, without thinking too much about what the other will think, that’s the secret.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Music’s life is not easy, we live “improvising” on a daily basis, especially at the time of COVID-19, we had to reinvent ourselves. I believe that a big difference in my work is in the classes, as I have a great affection for teaching, taking and teaching a little music to many people, from children, elderly, disabled and adults. My intention has always been that they feel something special in my classes, that God could touch their hearts through music. I take care of my Grandmother on a daily basis, she is 95 years old, and an alzheimer, so without a doubt, she is my biggest school, through the care I take with her, I manage to teach in a more pleasant and patient way with my students. My biggest dream is to be remembered by them as a person who showed something kind to them through musicality.
I also have my own compositions, a work of music from the south of Brazil, something very intimate, where we strongly value our culture, and composing songs in this genre makes me very happy. I recently released my single on digital platforms: PIANO PAMPA.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. In your view what are some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out?
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All honor be to God for the gift entrusted to me. I am grateful for the encouragement of my parents and the tireless support of my wife Déborah Schneid Pinto.
