Meet Paige Frappier | Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paige Frappier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paige, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I think consistency and discipline have been the biggest habits that help me succeed. I’ve learned that no matter how long something takes, if I stay consistent and keep showing up, the results eventually follow. My path has often felt a little slower than some of my peers, but that pace has taught me patience and helped me value the moments in between. Just because I’m not always booking or in the rooms I hope to be in, doesn’t mean my career is on hold, those in-between times are where I’ve grown the most as an artist. Discipline keeps me grounded, but consistency is what moves me forward. At the same time, I’ve learned to prioritize balance. I never want to burn out or lose the joy and creativity that made me fall in love with this career in the first place. For me, it’s about working hard and staying committed, but also giving myself the space to recharge so that when I do show up, I can give one hundred percent. And in those moments of stillness, I can really hear what my inner artist needs.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I grew up in St. Thomas, Ontario, a small country town that I loved. I started dancing at the age of four alongside my sister. My mom was and still is my superhero. She raised us on her own and always found a way to keep my sister and me in competitive dance. From her I learned what it means to work hard and believe in yourself. At sixteen, I received a scholarship to Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York, where I trained for a few months. That experience opened my world and showed me what was possible if I kept pushing. I went on to attend an arts high school where I would wake up at 3am to catch a bus across the city, train all day, and then head straight to the studio until late at night.
At eighteen, I moved to Toronto to pursue dance, and a few years later, with just enough money to buy a car, I drove across Canada to Vancouver with no plan, just me, my red car, and a dream. Two days after arriving, I booked a four-month stand-in and photo double job, and from that moment I was hooked on being on set.
I immersed myself in acting, taking every class I could and reading every script I could get my hands on. At the same time, I was working three bartending jobs and pushing myself to the limit until I had my first full-blown panic attack during dance training. It made me sit down, listen to myself, and ask what my inner artist truly wanted. That moment became a turning point. It made me realize that acting was calling me. Dance will always be a part of me, but acting pulled me into a place where I had to face my fears and grow. Looking back, I see that moment as the universe redirecting me, and I am forever grateful it did.
When I moved to California, everything started to align. I have been fortunate enough to work on amazing projects, and I am currently filming one this summer across California that I am really excited about. I have met incredible communities and continued discovering myself as an artist.
What this journey has taught me most is the power of taking risks. Each leap, whether moving cities with nothing, stepping away from dance, or trusting myself in a new role, has led me to places I never could have imagined. If something is truly your calling, it will never stop calling. The best thing you can do is trust it, follow it, and let it guide you forward.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my best friend comes to town, I want them to see the LA I love. We would start with a good cup of coffee and then head to my favorite boxing class at The WRX, the best sweat to kick off the day. After that, brunch at Dialogue is always on the list because the food is great and there are always so many dogs, which I will go see whenever I can. One day we would do the Wisdom Tree hike, sit at the top for a while, talk, and just take in the view before heading to the beach to get some sun. I love walking along the boardwalk, relaxing, and soaking it all in. Some days would be slower with a Pilates class, getting our nails done, thrifting and then doing a shoot, or pulling out some acting scripts and filming tapes. There would always be more coffee, more dogs, more boxing, and plenty of time at the beach working on our tan. For dinner, I love eating at Bacari or going out for happy hour sushi, and then maybe catching a movie at the AMC or finding a concert to go dancing.
What I love most about LA is how spread out it is, with so many different spaces and energy. It is the perfect city for exploring but also for slowing down. For me, the best part is the mix of creativity, fitness, letting loose, and moments with the people I love.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to Kennedy Brown. His work with the Lucid Body has allowed me to dig deeper than I ever thought was possible as an artist. Through his guidance, I’ve learned to find where a character energetically lives in my body. It has opened me up to the truth of acting in a way I haven’t experienced before. He has pushed me to new heights, challenged me to understand characters in a completely different way, and taught me to respect the craft on a deeper level. One of the biggest lessons I carry with me is to trust the body, it always knows. Beyond the work itself, he has built such a beautiful community in Los Angeles. I first met him in Vancouver and was eager to get to LA to be part of that community, which has been just as inspiring as his teaching. Kennedy has truly shaped how I approach my artistry and who I am becoming as a human being. I am beyond grateful for his mentorship and influence.
