We are the brand Pamela V, the brand started with a small boutique in Santee Alley called Kukulys. The former owner was my mother, she worked in the business for 20 years, when we started working with hand made bags and jewelry. She was the first boutique with a boho chic style in Downton. Every piece was one of a kind, bringing celebrities like Steve Taylor from Aero Smith, Eiza Gonzalez, and Lisa Deanna Rinna. At the same time I had a handbag line called Pamela V. We were a wholesale business, with a rep in Dallas, selling everywhere in the souther of the U.S. Some of the clients were Freepeople, Revolve, Planet Blue, Show me your Mumu, and ect. After that my mom retired and I decided to open a new store with the same concept beloved by the regular customers. Now we are a retal and still doing wholesale, located at the heart of Downton. This business can be very competitive and you just have to keep focus and work hard. What’s unique about the brand is that we try to pick items that are very unique and can fit anybody’s styles.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I were to bring a friend anywhere would be the Art District. There are some amazing place to go to like, Zinc Cafe & Market, Urth Cafe, and galleries and restaurants.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Pluma cafe is a small coffee shop in downtown LA, that has organic and different types of coffee that I believe everyone should know about!
