Hi Patricia, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
I have been working with indigenous communities for eight years. These communities live in very remote locations, without access to education, opportunities for jobs, and health services. Frequently they suffer from discrimination and segregation.
Working with these indigenous communities has been one of the biggest lessons in my life; honestly, it has been a personal growth. I learned that:
They live for being Happy and not for being successful. They are united for one dream, to maintain their tradition, family structure, and celebrate who they are.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Patricia Govea Collection is a socially responsible business, dedicated to supporting and empowering indigenous artisans from disadvantaged communities throughout Mexico. Our mission is to provide them fair and sustainable employment, while promoting and preserving Their cultural heritage.
Our brand is sustainable and conscious of our environment.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Los Angeles is A fascinating city in a fantasy world. We can start taking advantage of the weather and everything Los Angeles has to offer. First,- Tour fine LA MUSEUMS, the Broad, and the Getty are a must!
Second.- Delicious Dish. If you want to have a restaurant-quality meal’s excitement, Art-District is a great place to visit; you can find different kinds of restaurants like Bestia, Guerrilla Tacos, and much more. On the other hand, you can emerge at the beautiful sea with the blue California sky with a boho chic atmosphere in Venice Beach, Manhattan Beach or Santa Monica Beach.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to say thank you to Lourdes; she is an exceptional indigenous woman who is the General Director of our project; she has been fighting and working so hard to unite the community and create better opportunities for them. I’m so grateful for her support and leadership for making this project come true and for believing it since day one.
