We had the good fortune of connecting with Patrick Shatter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patrick, what do you attribute your success to?
Persistence is the key to my success. Throughout my journey, there have been countless moments of self-doubt and the temptation to throw in the towel. It is in these moments that my true character is tested. Will I choose the path of least resistance and give up, or will I embrace the challenge and persevere? Many people talk a big game, but only a few are willing to follow through. An even smaller fraction have the tenacity to stick with it until the end. Success requires dedication and putting in the hours, often referred to as the 10,000-hour rule. In tough times, I always remind myself that every setback is a learning opportunity. I push myself to keep going, knowing that hard work and patience will eventually pay off.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a child, my parents gifted me my first guitar, igniting a passion for music that would shape my childhood dream of becoming a rockstar. Spending hours in my room playing and listening to music, I eventually transitioned into playing in bands and performing all over Southern California in my teens and early twenties. It was during this time that I also discovered my love for fitness and, in particular, peanut butter.

At the age of 18, I delved into the world of nut butters, realizing their nutritional value as a protein-packed and nutrient-dense snack. With 66-77 grams of protein per jar and only 3-4 grams of sugar per serving, nut butters became a crucial part of my diet, fueling my workouts and helping me meet my nutritional requirements for training. Through experimentation with various blends, textures, and flavors, I developed a unique combination of peanuts, cashews, and coconut that not only tasted great but also provided the necessary energy and nutrients.

This special blend, named “Rockstar in a Jar,” pays homage to my music roots, incorporating elements from my days as a rockstar. When customers attend our events, they are treated to a VIP rockstar experience, where our nut butters are paired with an audio and visual spectacle akin to a concert. It’s more than just a product; it’s an immersive experience that engages all the senses.

In addition to our signature nut butters, we also offer manufacturing services for other brands, assisting with formulations, branding, merchandise, and everything else needed to kickstart their dreams. Our goal is to not only provide high-quality products but also to create a full-fledged experience that resonates with our customers and partners.

Achieving excellence in any endeavor is no simple feat. It requires endless hours of trial and error, numerous setbacks, and unwavering determination. Through my own experiences in the business world, I have learned a valuable lesson: tasks often require more time and resources than initially anticipated, and there are always unknown factors that can impact the outcome. It is essential to be prepared for the unexpected and to persevere through challenges in order to succeed at a high level.
