We had the good fortune of connecting with Patris Kirakosian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patris, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was that I wanted to be my own boss . I have been in the culinary industry for about 8 years now and have worked my way up the ladder and worked for many culinary greats including Dominique Ansel. My goal in life is to open up a fine dining restaurant and achieve awards . I have opened up a Nashville hot chicken food truck to get the name of the business out to the public before opening up a brick and mortar . We are planning on opening a brick and mortar this year . Times have been though with covid 19 and we are trying to get things back together . I know I can lead a great group of people through my own business and the story has just began . Starting off culinary school in 2015 my process has been difficult from losing my twin brother to cancer and many more . Cooking keeps me going everyday and makes me appreciate life more and what i can achieve .

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is called Badchkn. We are a Nashville hot chicken food truck looking to expand to a brick and mortar this coming year . It hasn’t been the easiest of experiences starting up your own business but everything in life has a challenge and you need to overcome . I am proud and accomplished for having many magazines write about me and my company from voyage LA to Buzz magazine and much more . We are trying to get our name out to make this into a fast growing business . We use all organic chicken from Mary’s farm and the best products we can get from the company’s we work with like chefs warehouse and Bakers Kneaded .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to many restaurants on the beach in Malibu to amazing spots in Downtown Los Angeles . It has been a family tradition since I was born for us to go to Palm Springs ca at least once a year and I would Foresure reccomend for the people who come to visit . We will take nice trips to the Griffith observatory to many hiking spots in Pasadena and Glendale ca . Here in Los Angeles there are many different cultures and the food is what represents them the best . Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout all my family for being so supportive of what I do in life and my amazing girlfriend Vivian . Without them I would not be the person I am today . I have learned a lot from Chef Hyun and Chef Dominique Ansel while working at 189 by Dominique Ansel. They taught me how important it is to use the best ingredients and transform them into something so amazing . And lastly I wouldn’t have been here without my brothers support . He was my twin and we would do everything together and he has taught me there is more to life than we know it .
