We had the good fortune of connecting with Perdell Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Perdell, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
My ultimate goal is to direct multimillion-dollar films, and as I conclude my career, I aspire to share my knowledge and passion by teaching the next generation of filmmakers the art and craft of filmmaking.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m thrilled to share my latest film, Know Mercy. This project was self-funded by myself and a few dedicated collaborators, and we’ve created a Sci-Fi drama that looks and feels like a million-dollar production. It took us eight months to bring this vision to life, and though the journey was challenging, my team’s unwavering passion kept us focused on our mission. One of the biggest lessons I learned is to never lose sight of your goals. Know Mercy is set to be released around February or March of 2025, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Living in LA is such a treat for tourists! I’d take them to the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Santa Monica Pier for some classic sights. Breakfast at Du-Par’s is a must; they have the best pancakes I’ve ever tasted! Plus, there are some fantastic rooftop bars in downtown LA where we can enjoy great food and stunning views. It’ll be an unforgettable experience!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Two individuals who hold immense significance in my life and film career are my best friend Sayrie and my business partner Ella Thomas. Sayrie and I collaborate on numerous projects, constantly pushing each other to improve and grow. Ella has been a steadfast friend and partner, always championing my success and encouraging me to reach my full potential. Their support and inspiration mean the world to me.
