Meet Peter Boyadjian | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Peter Boyadjian and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Peter, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe taking risks is essential for growth. It’s how you push past limits, discover who you are, and shape your path. Some people live their whole lives under a safety net—not by choice, but because of the cards they were dealt. For me, everything changed when my dad had heart failure when I was 18. I was a college dropout, playing in bands, and suddenly I had to step up and support my family. That moment forced me to take real risks—not just creatively, but in life. And while it was tough, it’s also what helped me find direction and purpose.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was born in Beirut and raised in an Armenian home where Greek disco and Arabic music played nonstop—thanks to my mom. That early mix of cultures sparked something in me. It taught me to appreciate diversity and gave me a deep curiosity about the world. I’ve now traveled to over 20 countries, always chasing new perspectives, stories, and experiences.
Photography became my way of connecting—with people, with cultures, with moments that matter. It’s more than just a creative outlet; it’s how I explore, listen, and create something that lasts. I approach every event as if I’m photographing for family, because building real connections is what makes the work meaningful.
Getting here hasn’t been easy. The photography part is maybe 10%—the other 90% is running a business. It takes discipline, resilience, and most of all, strong relationships. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that your success is built on how you treat people. That’s what I want my brand to represent—real connection, honest storytelling, and the kind of trust that lasts long after the final image is delivered.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I haven’t been out like that in a while, but when me and my wife sneak away, it’s usually Din Tai Fung or Felix in Venice. I’d take my friend to Zuma Beach, catch a Dodgers game, and grab rooftop drinks in DTLA—simple, relaxing, and classic L.A. vibes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe a lot to the people who’ve been in my corner from the start. First and foremost, my beautiful wife—she’s always believed in me and had my back, even during the uncertain times. My parents taught me the value of hard work and common sense, which has grounded me through every phase of life. And I have to give a special shoutout to my mentor, who I’ll call Troud D. He taught me what it really means to run a business—not just the logistics, but the importance of treating everyone around you with respect. Their support shaped who I am today.
