We had the good fortune of connecting with Philip Eisenfeldt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Philip, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Balance in life is so important to me these days. Moste of my time is spend infront of the computer, so it’s rahter important for my mind to do something diffrent. In my case its flying small airplanes and as cheese as it’s sounds, it allows me to strip back all what is on the ground.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In those wit soo many companies, it’s getting harder and harder to find a unique selling point. But working with me is not only 100, it’s 200% comittment to the project and I have deep sense of creating emotional music and bringing the music to life with real musicans. It not has to be a full orchestra but working with a big variaty of musicians is always creating a unique sound – so i would define my sound a lot a through other musicians.

I started beeing a professional composer back in 2012 where I had my first payed gig. Writing a big score for a computer game. I won an award with the soundtrack and that throw me into the professional world.

The biggest challenge was to run my own compony for alomst 10 years. I learned that’s maybe 5-10% abput music, the rest is business and dealing with people – which can be amazing but also defistating.

That I love what I’m doing and I love to work with people through out all the different fields.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would fly them to my favorite place on the planet. A danish island called Bornholm. Beuatiful people, amazing landscape and a very chilled danish vibe!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Deffnitley my father who encoured me all my way through and listen and gives advice in though times. Also my grand perents who bought me my first drum kid and my first bit of studio gear and made possible to dive into music and production.
