Meet Phillip Cornejo | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Phillip Cornejo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Phillip, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I grew up in California, the Inland Empire, Ontario to be specific. I was brought up by a single mother who gave me and my siblings the best she could with what she had.
We didn’t grow up with a lot, but we had pride in what we did have and we were taught that no job is too small and no work is beneath you. That stuck with me. I started my floor cleaning business with that same mindset: lead with integrity, work hard, and treat every space with care, whether it’s a small office or a major commercial job.
My upbringing taught me resilience, humility, and the value of showing up consistently, qualities I bring into my business every single day.

What should our readers know about your business?
Final Touch Service is more than a floor cleaning business, it’s a reflection of who I am and what I stand for. What sets me apart is my ability to truly connect with my clients. I listen, I adapt, and I treat every space like it’s my own. People can feel authenticity, and that’s something I never compromise on.
Getting to this point wasn’t easy. It took a lot of consistency, sleepless nights, trial and error, and leaning into my faith when things got tough. God and resilience carried me through the hardest times. I’ve had to learn a lot, still am. Business has taught me that success isn’t just about working hard, it’s about patience, smart decisions, and most importantly, building good character.
The biggest lesson I’m learning now is that growth takes time, and that’s okay. You don’t have to have it all figured out to make progress, you just have to move with purpose. I want people to know that no matter where you come from or what your story is, you can build something beautiful if you believe in something greater and don’t give up.
And as far as Final Touch Service, I want the world to know we care. We care about our work, our clients, and the impression we leave behind. Our clients come first, they are the foundation of this business. We’re not just here to clean floors, we’re here to leave a lasting impact.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting for a full week, you know we’re doing it right…..LA style! First stop: Quarters Korean BBQ in Koreatown. It’s the kind of place where you eat good, laugh loud, and leave smelling like smoke in the best way possible.
Day two, we’re going to hit some museums—The Broad for the art vibes and Urban Lights at LACMA. We’d swing by Grand Central Market after for lunch, so many good options, it’s hard to pick just one!
Midweek is perfect for Universal Studios! I love going on a weekday when it’s not too packed. There’s something about the movie magic and rides that brings out the inner kid. Then maybe a casual night at Din Tai Fung for cocktails and good food.
By Thursday or Friday, we’re cooling it down with a beach day. We’d go to Venice Beach, rent some bikes, cruise the boardwalk, people-watch, grab some fruit or a coffee, and maybe catch the sunset at the pier.
And of course, we’re making time for a classic LA burger joint, In-N-Out!
What I love about LA is that you can switch from museums and city lights to beaches and palm trees, all in one week. There’s never a dull moment, and the people here? Creative, bold, and always doing something exciting. I’d want my best friend to leave feeling full, literally and spiritually.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to start with my mom. Back when I was an early teenager, she started a small cleaning company called Final Touch. It didn’t last long, but the name always stuck with me, and so did the lessons. She may not have “made it” in the traditional sense, but she showed me what strength looks like. Watching her hustle taught me to dream bigger, to keep going even when things don’t go as planned. I named my business Final Touch Service in her honor.
I also want to give a shoutout to my aunt Stella and her family. There were moments in my life when I didn’t even realize what kind of love or support I was missing, until she stepped in. She filled my life with the kind of warmth, stability, and unconditional love that made me feel like I belonged. That kind of support changes a person.
And finally, my fiancée Mariana….there are no words big enough. She brought structure and clarity to my business when I needed it most. Her eye for detail, organization, and drive helped take Final Touch Service to the next level. But beyond business, she helped me see that soulmates are real. Her love is steady, grounding, and the kind of support that fuels not just work, but life. I wouldn’t be where I am without her.
So if I’m giving a shoutout, it’s to the women who shaped my strength, my heart, and my vision.
