We had the good fortune of connecting with Pilar Josephine Lu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pilar Josephine, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“I can be anything I want to be”

I believe that anyone has the ability to achieve anything they set their
mind to. I’ve learned everyday in life is an ongoing journey and with the right discipline, grit and consistency you can turn your dreams into reality. This mindset reflects a positive and determined attitude towards life, one that can inspire others to pursue their goals with the same passion and dedication.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a realtor I deal with people on a daily basis. But with my Dedication, Hard work and the ability to listen and be patient has set me apart from others in this industry. Being able to get my clients into their first home or their dream home puts a smile on my face and warms my heart. However it wasn’t easy getting here. I made the decision to leave a job I had for 11 years. The thought of having zero income was scary but I took a chance used up my savings and invested in myself. I wanted to do something that makes me happy. So I went to school, passed the State license exam and worked hard to get to where im at today.

Follow your Heart, Take a chance and invest in yourself because you can be anything you want to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Perfect starting point would be San Francisco, Ca. Passing through the Golden Gate Bridge, proceeding to Ghirardelli Square for some Fudge Ice Cream and chocolates. Stopping by Fishermans Wharf to grab Sourdough bread and clam chowder at Boudin.

Coast driving to Monterey, Ca and enjoying lobster bisque at the Old Fishermans Grotto. 17 mile drive is not to be missed.
Continue along the Coast and head to Santa Barbara, Ca. Enjoy an afternoon of Polo match at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet club. If seafood is on your mind, we stop by the Santa Barbara Shellfish company! Lobster rolls are a must!

Then the last leg of the trip would be beautiful Santa Monica Beach. Take you weightlifting at muscle beach and pick up fish burgers at Seaside on the Pier. Last but not least ending the beautiful week long journey strolling down the Venice Canals and enjoying the Sunset.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother has been a huge part of my life, she raised me as a single parent. Instilled in me a strong sense of integrity that has guided me to distinguish right from wrong. The values of honesty and perseverance she showed me has shaped me into someone who never gives up and always stays true to my beliefs. She inspires me to always follow my Heart.
