Meet Piper Durabo | Musician/Songwriter/Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Piper Durabo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Piper, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I am a glutton for sweet melodies and abuse of all kinds!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I guess you could say that Maraschino is a celebration of glam and garbage and all of my favorite synths! I just finished my debut album, and will be releasing a song from it on my label Kiss Cafe in October. Very stoked about that.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Point Dume, Philosophical Research Society, the Smokehouse, Non Plus Ultra & the Vintage Synth Museum

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The people I’ve been working with on my album are Luke Darger, who collaborated with me on the arrangements as well as co-production on some of the songs, Jorge Elbrecht, who mixed the album, Sam Mehran and Chris Coady who co-produced a few songs on the album. Also, Kev Moo AKA Daddy Kev mastered it. They’re all really talented people and I’m super grateful to have been able to work with them on something so close to my heart.
