Hi Polina and Victor, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Hello!

We are Po&Vic, an intercultural couple residing in the charming Prince Edward Island, Canada. Our TikTok and Instagram handle is @poviccouple, a creative blend of our names—Polina and Victor.

Polina, known as Po, hails from Lviv, Ukraine, and relocated to Canada in 2022. A dancer and choreographer by profession, Po has always had a passion for dance, which she seamlessly translates into captivating TikTok videos.

Victor, or Vic, came from Kathmandu, Nepal, to Canada in 2018 as a student. His journey led him to discover a deep passion for photography and videography.

Our paths converged in late 2022, sparking a shared adventure of exploring our diverse cultures. Despite our different backgrounds, we found a commonality in our mentalities that facilitated easy communication and relationship-building.

Po had long nurtured the aspiration of creating TikTok content as a couple but found herself perpetually waiting for the ideal moment to begin. One day, during a spontaneous drive, she realized that waiting for the perfect time was futile. Thus, she seized the moment, made a first video, launched our TikTok account, and began posting daily videos.

Combining our skills—Po’s dance expertise and Vic’s videography talent—proved to be a remarkable synergy. Initially, we approached content creation purely for enjoyment, without setting expectations. To our surprise, our videos quickly gained traction and began to go viral, bringing immense joy to Po, akin to a child’s delight.

Po takes charge of generating creative ideas and motivating us to produce content, while Vic provides crucial support with equipment and editing. Over the past few months, content creation has become a significant part of our lives, offering us not just joy and excitement but also valuable bonding time.

Balancing full-time jobs, hobbies, and content creation is sometimes challenging, but we’re learning and committed to our journey. We believe in the power of persistence, enjoying the process, and remaining open to new opportunities. Success comes from embracing the flow and staying dedicated to what we love. With this mindset, we eagerly anticipate the journey ahead and are excited to see where it takes us!

Our professional lives encompass a diverse array of roles—recruiter, photographer, choreographer, analyst, and content creators, to name a few. We firmly believe that success is the product of relentless hard work and seizing every opportunity that comes our way, for you never know what doors they might open. While the journey can be challenging, the experiences and connections we gain are invaluable. The most important lesson we’ve learned—and continue to learn—is the value of perseverance. Stay committed to your endeavors, remain persistent, and avoid setting overly high expectations or becoming disheartened by immediate results. Success will come with time as long as you put in the effort and keep moving forward. Trust your instincts, follow your heart, and don’t let the opinions of others cause doubt.

Also, it is always very important to have a good rest to recover after busy days, to have enough resource for new adventures.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
What a delightful question! To welcome our guests, we would start with a warm and hospitable gathering at our home, featuring a culinary journey through Ukrainian and Nepali cuisine—one day savoring traditional Ukrainian dishes and the next enjoying flavorful Nepali fare.

Being residents of this picturesque island, we’d make sure to showcase its natural beauty. We’d begin with a visit to Greenwich Beach, where we’d take a scenic walk along a breathtaking trail leading to the beach. After a refreshing swim in the ocean, we’d spend the evening watching the sunset from our favorite spot, Cape Tryon Lighthouse—a view that is truly awe-inspiring.

And, of course, no visit would be complete without indulging in local delicacies like lobster rolls and oysters, which we’d enjoy en route to the lighthouse.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, we are deeply grateful for each other’s unwavering support. We appreciate the way we consistently back one another’s ideas, always making time—even late into the night—without a hint of irritation. This mutual reliability is something we cherish profoundly.

We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our close friends and family, whose likes, shares, and comments on our videos mean the world to us. Their constant interest and belief in our journey play a significant role in our motivation.
