We had the good fortune of connecting with Que Heffe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Que, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks play a big role in my life; I am a big believer in the idea that the bigger the risk the greater the reward. For lack of better words, one would have to take risks to live like this. I wholeheartedly believe in betting on yourself, the win just feels different.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is who I am. I’ve always been a different type of person. I’m an artist first, I make crazy music and I also song write. The type of music that I make is a little bit all over the place, but it’s from my perspective and point of view being who I am growing up down south in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The gumbo pot of being from Mississippi, but spending my young adult life in Atlanta, to now living in Los Angeles has given me a different vibe and it comes out through my music. I have always been a popular person and well known everywhere I go; basically I’m an overall shit popper and I make a lot of music like that, bragadodocious shit.

Weed also plays big part in my brand; I’m an avid lover of cannabis and what it does for people. Not to just smoke and get high but the medical effects and benefits it provides truly helps. I feel like I get social anxiety when I’m around a lot of people, it can be hard for me to figure it out but when I smoke it helps me be more social. This is a reason why I created my show, Za or Nah. Everybody was creating strain, but no one was judging it to see if it’s good or not. I filled a void that was needed in the cannabis community.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My number one food stop would be my favorite Mexican restaurant, Cilantro Lime located in Downtown LA and my menu recommendation would have be the “Que Heffe Special”. Get it and tell them I sent you! I think the most consistent restaurant in L.A. is Bossa Nova. Their menu has a wide selection and everything is good on it, but my favorite thing to order is the cajun blackened shrimp. My favorite events to attend in L.A. are cannabis events or cultural events like Black Market Flea.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Throughout my journey of success God, my mother, and my strong circle of friends that support me have been my backbone. I also want to shoutout my fans and the people that rock with me. Often times as an independent artist or influencer I get discouraged. It’s the words and messages from supporters that keep me going and lift my spirits, because sometimes I don’t see the impact I’m making until they tell me straight up in my dms or comments.
