We had the good fortune of connecting with Queen Eze and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Queen, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I started Style of A Queen in 2015, I was simply having fun with it. I knew I loved fashion, I loved clothes and I loved taking photos, so I thought to myself: Let me start a blog showcasing my outfits, how I style things and most importantly how I am having fun with it. So I bought a nice canon camera, because I knew it would be a great investment. I also bought my domain and I thought to myself, what shall I name it and I could put a fun spin to it and voila Style of a Queen was born! It started out as a hobby and here I am now, hoping to grow it into something much bigger.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I got my Masters in Public Heath in 2016 and it was endless nights writing loads of papers, presentations and juggling a 9-5 while trying to follow my passion while Style of A Queen was still a fresh baby. It certainly wasn’t an easy time because I was spread pretty thin, but I always say ” Some things may be difficult, but it’s always about applying yourself and finishing what you start” The lessons I learned along the way is that life is always going to throw things at you, but it is important to see the light at the end of the tunnel and believe you will always come out on the other side. It is also very important to believe in yourself despite the hardships and naysayers. One thing I want people to know about Queen is that I am hopeful the world will know my name one day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love a good brunch spot with mimosas, champagne and great French toast. Some of my favorite spots are Calabra, Cara Cara in Downtown LA, Maestros Steakhouse in Beverly Hills. Grandmasters Recorders in Hollywood has fantastic food and great rooftop with wonderful music. I just love great food and music. I also love going to great Hookah spots. Shopping is also a must when visiting LA.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not have started Style of A Queen without my cousin Tujo. He encouraged me to start my blog and he was my first ever photographer. We would plan out days to scout locations, pack up different outfits in my cars and drive around, and spent hours taking pictures. I would also like to recognize my younger sister, who is also my best friend- Princess! Princess is my biggest supporter! She also served as my photographer and was instrumental in always giving me advice and encouraging me to keep posting and the best advice she gave me was to always have fun with it!
