Meet rafael cobos delgado | Actor and Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with rafael cobos delgado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi rafael, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
change looks beautiful on you.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have had the blessing to have talented friends who believe me and as a consequence have produce our stories where they give us the opportunity to work on our craft. It’s not easy to make a film but when you have a great team you always find solutions to any problem that comes your way.
The path of acting and filmmaking is never easy but the difficulty of making a movie is the school that is needed to gain the experience that is needed to tell stories in the cinema.
The lesson I have learned is that patience and persistence with preparation are your best allies.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
i will take him to griffith observatory then to see the houses in LA of the architect Frank Lloyd “ennis house and Hollyhock House ,I love architecture and I feel that a lot of people don’t look at the jewels that we have here in California.
they to the hollywood blv and then the rest of the days to sequoia national park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
He was born on June 15, 1983 in the state of Aguascalientes, Mexico. Motivated by his art education teacher, he first dabbled in acting during his senior year of high school. Since then he has been fascinated by the stage; he dreamed of making movies like Salma Hajek. However, his life took him to Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, where he began working in the maquila. In the monotony of his routine activities, he heard on the radio that auditions were being held for a play. He participated and was selected in the theater group for three years. Following his dream, he moved to California, looking for a life like all immigrants. He began working with Chapman University students as a grip, striving to understand the language of film. At the same time, he was still looking to participate as an actor in student projects. There he began his career.
He acted in the play 5711 Avalon, directed by Shia Labeouf of the Slauson Rec theater group. He participated in the short film A Son of the Land, directed by Cesar Velazco. He won the best actor award at the Official Latino Film and Arts Festival, in Palm Springs; this short film was awarded the jury prize in the Latino category, at the DGA Student Film Awards. The first feature film in which he participated as an actor and producer was They Call Us Seditious. There the ignored narrative of Mexican Americans in the history of the United States is told: In 1915, Jovita Idár, reporter, writer and activist for the civil rights of women and Mexican Americans, interviews a mother whose son disappeared at the hands of the racist rangers and vigilantes who have been attacking the Texan-Mexican community in the Lower Rio Grande Valley during an era known as “La Matanza.”
For Rafael, telling stories through cinema is a way of expressing his emotions in a universal language, which allows him to freely communicate what his heart dictates.
