We had the good fortune of connecting with Ralph Geffrard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ralph, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I would say staying discipline during the process would be one of the key habit that helped me this far. I know that the path that I am taking will not be easy, and i have to discipline myself and remind myself to give it 100% everyday. Another Habit would be that I like to challenge myself. I like to find new ways to be able grow not only as a dancer but as a person. Being able to challenge myself to explore new way to go about certain things whether it’s training or finding ways to adapt into unfamiliar zones so I don’t remain permanently in my comfort zone.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am definitely most proud of myself for not giving up too easily and always finding a way to remain discipline along the process. I am also proud of my work and visual concept videos because it start from having an idea , to then being written on paper to then being executed and now on film. Seeing the final product of what was just an idea brings me joy because I can then say i brought my imagination to life..Literally.
If i was not committed enough in my career then i know i wouldn’t be where I’m at right now. It’s not an easy thing to do. Waking up to sometime, not feeling inspired or having no motivation to get you pumped make the day a little bit harder and it’s okay it happens to the best of us, but i learn that being discipline work best for me because when I cannot find something to inspire me or motivate me for the day i know i will still be okay and still take on the world. If anything i can say that i am my own inspiration because of how discipline i been through the best and tough times in my career path.
I definitely want the world to know that it’s not only the gift of being able to dance that is pushing me through in my career but it’s also the hard work that is done behind closed doors. I want to be able to inspire millions across the globe , and i want my life as a dance artist to be that inspiration or motivation to those who don’t have any.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to my favorite sushi spot called “ Moshi Moshi”. Amazing atmosphere and the drinks are amazing ! I would also take them to this gym call “BreakinMia”. It’s where Me and a couple of my other friends would go and train and participate in any event that gets thrown. I would also take them to the Wharf Miami. That right there is the closer for the week , nothing but good energy , happy people , loud music and drinks.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would want to definitely Give a Shoutout to my closest friends and family. We push each other everyday because we can recognize each other potential . So being among these people almost everyday in my life do play a critical role in my career.
