We had the good fortune of connecting with Ray “Killa” Siirila and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ray “Killa”, how do you think about risk?
When thinking about taking risks, one must be calculated, and make decisions based on experience. Every risk taken by our team has turned into some sort of success, or a connection that leads us to the same.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business, Burning Tree Co. started as a childhood friend group, and has over decades transitioned into a solid brand, business, and music label. It definitely was a challenge getting others, outside the group to take us seriously, but in the recent years, after tons of work, it’s finally starting to take its true shape. Along the way there was plenty of growing pains, learning lessons, and experience gained. As far as the future of our plans go, 2023 will feature new artists within BTC, new apparel, and a new business venture that I’ll refrain from mentioning until further notice, so please.. stay tuned.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Vinny Vangoh, of San Jose, he’s an engineer primarily, but also a recording artist, producer, designer, and influential person in general. He was the first person any of our group came into contact with, related to the music lane. He’s also been 1 of the only people to have a great attitude and treat our group with proper respect, and that’s gone a long way regarding our development.
