We had the good fortune of connecting with Raymond Goode and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raymond, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
(1) My thought process began more as a dream that turned to reality. After battling depression and suicidal tendencies; a great vision was given to me. It starred our as a boy with a dream and turned into a man fulfilling that dream. From the writings of my 1st book ‘Traces of You’

I had to overcome many insecurities and fears to become the multi media mogul that I am now.

(2) My book ‘How to Write and Print under $300’ has been the lead book with helpful people; not only fulfill their dreams of becoming an author, but it has also over 200 personnel become independent licensed business owners. ‘How to Write and Print under $300’ has been the consulting book that has assist in opening over 200 self publishers.

My stage production‘Through Their Eyes’ provides thespians with new works to act and gives people jobs. The heartfelt stories within the book allows for healing for performers whom are portraying the traumatic re-telling as well as audience members whom experience what’s it’s like to be the inside person looking out of a traumatic situation.

(3) I began my journey living in a self storage unit. Life is all about risk taking. You must be willing to sacrifice in order to move forward. One must break the shells and shackles of whatever preconceived reality that they are living in. Life is about evolving. All great leaders have had to make sacrifices to move forward. Some sacrifices are will propel you forward and others are to teach you a lesson of what should not be done.

(4) N/A

(5) The most important factor behind my success is faith. Knowing that all things are going to work out and for the greater good. Knowing and understanding that no two days are alike. Faith to no that the vision that was given to me is more of a prophecy that will be fulfilled. Having faith gives me the strength to carry on even my soul and spirit is weary.

(6) You always keep going. There is no giving up. As long as you believe in your project and/or dream then everything in your life needs to revolve around that.

(7) I think everything in life needs balance. There is a yin and a yang. Without balance one may scorch the earth or never make it to the gates of heaven. There is a thin line between sane and insanity. Walking a balanced line is much needed.

(8) Creating makes me happy. Being able to live in a creative space is what makes me happy. Creativity is God! Writing. Dancing. Singing. Directing. Are all parts of creativity. Knowing that at any moment I can find a creative zone to get lost in is where I find my happiness.

(9) The Arts saved my life. It got me away from depression and suicidal tendencies. My life would be miserable if my artistic talents weren’t bent. It was writing that saved my life. It was directing that saved my life. It was my company ‘Amplified Frequency Productions’ that saved my life. I continue to look for ways to keep my spirit and soul alive and it is the ARTS that constantly saves me.

(10) Success is being happy. If one can find happiness within their spirit then they have reached a level of success that no one can compare too.

There are many rich people whom are depressed and many poor people whom are happy. Success is a state of mind.

My workbooks are being used for workshops in prisons and at-risk homes for the youth.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My creativity affords me the life of traveling. So San Antonio’s The Alamo would be a great place to visit and stroll over the Riverwalk. Where bots with their drivers serenade you.

We would then go visit the nightlife of Beale street in Memphis. Where every block there is a live musical performance and you can walk the street with spirits filled to the brim.

We would venture to the fast life, hustle and bustle of Manhattan. The city that never sleeps. We would have to see the red steps in Times Square and go see the painted pictures of General Biggie Smalls in Brooklyn.

We would whisk away to a small villa in Saint Augustine Florida where the water turns seven colors.

I would end in my hometown of Virgina where they would be surrounded by intimate family and love before they bon voyage
