Hi Reggie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In previous years I worked for AT&T as a cable installer & I also worked for a security installation company named GHS interactive. During my tenure with both of this jobs I would always do side jobs which including mounting equipment or installing additional cameras on the weekend. When COVID hit our cities I was laid off from directv due to “lack of work”, so I decided it was time to build my brand and work for myself rather than rely on an employer.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

JustMount is a brand that aims to please the clients request and bring an upgrade to the aesthetics of one’s home. I offer services such as electrical equipment installation, custom shelving, interior/exterior decor upgrades, internet expansion, etc. My passion for this business comes from 7 years of technician field work installing security systems and satellite cable. I used to enter homes & all their electrical equipment in their entertainment centers would be controlled by tablets/iPad’s which I thought was cool. I would meet with the Audio/Video technicians that built the networks within the home & talk about building a tower that goes in the basement or a closet that holds your cable boxes, internet routers, video game consoles, and any other external sources for your televisions. Once I started doing my own research along with listening to personal statements from the A/V techs I was set on the idea of opening my own company one day. These type of services at the time we’re only being broadcasted in the wealthy neighborhoods but not to every potential client regardless of financial stature. It got me thinking if I could bring that same vibe and service to all clients I would place myself in my own lane. I started doing small jobs for clients over the past 4-5 years but I’ve taken it public with the brand recently & got a taste of success. It has been a challenge gaining consistent momentum since I do have other ventures that have my attention, but I’m committed to focusing on JustMount and leaving this brand behind for my two sons to utilize if they decide follow in my footsteps.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Most of my friends are athletes so we would find a gym to go play some basketball a few days out the week. After the hoop sessions we’d have to hit Bossa Nova which is one of my favorite food spots or Simply Wholesome which is located in Los Angeles. We could also grab some dinner at another favorite called Crustaceans in Beverly Hills. Speaking to the fun I don’t really go out to much now a days but Brunch on the weekend in Hollywood/DTLA or the OC would be on the agenda. I have kids so I’d include them in doing something fun like arcades, go kart racing, or hitting the San Diego Zoo which we do pretty often.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I’m appreciative of all my blessings from God because without him I wouldn’t be where I am today. Than I wanna direct my love to all my family and friends who’ve supported me along my journey thus far. I have a great team built on love which starts with my mom and grandmother, they have my back no matter what. My sisters for always keeping it real whether I wanna hear the negatives or not. Lastly my girlfriend who helped drive the success and passion out of me. I’m a self motivated guy already but she’s always there for that extra push or extra words of encouragement.
