We had the good fortune of connecting with Re@l Raydon Aka Real and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi RE@L RAYDON aka REAL, what do you want people to remember about you?
What do you want your legacy to be what do you want to be remembered for?
I wanna be remembered as the person from my family that finally did what my Aunt Alisa encouraged me to do and I accomplished all the things that I dreamed of. I wanna be the first person that embodies their artistic name also I want people to remember me for not judging people and always helping others get through and overcome obstacles and hardships in life that they’ve been going through whether it’s psychological, repeating cycles, or circumstances that they can’t figure out how to get out of and most of all turning their negatives into a positives. I wanna be remembered for helping artists and regular people get their stories out so they can help people going through the same problems and issues get through it. I basically want to be remembered as keeping it realer than the realest helping people reach their higher selves and bringing them closer to God no matter what background they came from.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m proud of my ability to keep going through the trials and tribulations even if there were disagreements with producers or artists and my ability to write what I’m feeling from the heart in all of my music without questioning if it would resonate with anyone else and staying true to myself allowing me to build up my character along with growing with my music. I’m excited about my new music that I’ll be releasing soon which includes singles and an album. I’m excited about meeting new people that share the same passion and vision as me as well as making a difference in the world not just talking about it but being about it.
I got here today by being myself trusting that GOD is working on me everyday, helping others get to their greatest, and not giving up on my music.
No it wasn’t easy. I was able to overcome by accepting situations or people for what or who they were and venting out through my music which served as therapy. I’ve learned that things that you have no control of are going to happen but no matter what transpires you still have to keep on pushing towards your goal. It’s the journey that shapes you for your future.
I want the world to know that I also have experience as a director for movies, music videos, and I’m a strong influence in the music industry I inspire a lot of artist and producers. I direct my own music videos, I received the name REAL from other people, I didn’t name myself that. I never judge people, I always do my best and I embody what real is. I’ve been through a lot but I never made excuses and I never quit.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First of all I would cook for them because I know how to get down in the kitchen. We would go to the beach some of my favorites are Malibu or Marina Del Rey, and have drinks at one of my favorite spots out there. Wherever they wanna eat we’ll go, I personally like steakhouses and seafood boil. There’s a lot of different bars and lounges to hang out at that I like. We can step in to as many as they want to. Also if they want to go to any tourist spots we can go there too most people want to go see the Hollywood sign. I’m definitely gonna be doing a show more than likely when they’re in town so I’ll take them with me to meet new people and network.
