We had the good fortune of connecting with Renata Cambauva and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renata, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to create a playful brand that would ignite joy, and at the same time design with sacred proportions to awaken within lovers of gemstones and jewelry a desire to live with intention and ritual. As previously working in the marketing and advertising industry I have paid attention to storytelling and the importance of connecting with people at a heart centered level where they could see themselves not just wearing something, but feeling seen by a brand. I often think about what healing my product brings to people.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art, rooted in life’s sacred geometry, the tree of life of the Kabbalah, the convergence of science with the proper use of mystic arts, which reveal our interconnectedness and potential as bridges. The surprise and delight my creations evoke in others mirror the inner child in all of us, a precious connection in a world saturated with the “state of being occupied as a form of adulting”. These sweet shared moments of just being, fuel my journey, reminding me that perceived failures are merely realignments, opportunities to pivot toward untapped potential. A missed opportunity isn’t a loss, but a signpost to an overlooked path, a chance to pioneer something new and healing.
Life and business, like music, possess intros, crescendos, and choruses, but also essential low notes and silences that harmonize us. By listening to the entire composition, we refine our melody. My work aims to be a mirror, reflecting the infinite potential within each individual. Nothing is final; failure holds as much potential as success. Indeed, constriction often precedes the greatest breakthroughs, the rupturing of limitations revealing the magnitude of our impact.
True power lies not in fleeting external validation but in the lifelong mastery of the self, a collection of experiences that shape our path. We are often trained to seek worth externally, yet true accomplishment resides within, in the lives we touch, awakening new self-perception. This journey of individuation, as Jung might say, encourages us to integrate our shadow and embrace the totality of our being, finding wholeness not in singular achievements but in the continuous unfolding of our potential.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Having lived in the Mid-City/West Adams area for over a decade, I’ve really come to appreciate some of LA’s hidden gems. I think a lot of the following spots are truly underrated!
If you’re looking for a great view, I’d suggest starting at the Stairs in Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area in Culver City. You get this amazing, understated panorama of the whole city there.
For coffee, Cognoscenti makes a killer cup. We could grab something light there, and then head over to Destroyer for lunch. Highly Likely is another fantastic spot I love – they do coffee, food, and have a little market. Their “burrito-ito” with an iced latte is the perfect pick-me-up after a hike.
For anyone interested in yoga or meditation, the Peace Labyrinth is a must-see. The building itself is beautiful, and the gardens offer a wonderfully peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of LA.
When I’m by the beach, I like to visit Open in Venice for breathwork, meditation, and yoga.
In Hollywood, I’d recommend a stroll through the shops at Sycamore, with a quick stop at One Open Eye and Pause Spa for a float. If you’re in the mood to see some beautiful things after that, check out ROSEARK or Esqueleto.
If you’re looking for stones not set in gold, I’d point you to crystal shops like Spellbound and Sacred Light in the Silverlake/Los Feliz area.
My absolute favorite shopping experience is the Pickwick Vintage Market in DTLA, which happens once a month at The ROW. It’s run by some incredible women who also have a fantastic store in Northern California called Mercy Vintage. Their selection of jewelry, vintage clothing, and one-of-a-kind pieces is truly amazing! You should also keep an eye out for other cool markets like Unique World, also founded by a local female entrepreneur.
Most of all, I’d suggest hitting up every coffee shop you can! People don’t always realize how much LA is a coffee shop city, with a real appreciation for the craft of a warm beverage and curated spaces perfect for digital nomads.
My favorite pool is at Mr. C’s. It’s a classic and also quite underrated. Just a heads-up, I heard they’re renovating the pool by the end of 2025, so you might want to check if it’s already had its facelift.
For an amazing detox lymphatic massage, I highly recommend Rebecca Faria. She’s a Brazilian lymphatic massage and aesthetic pro with an incredible non-invasive body sculpting method that’s even popular with celebrities like the Kardashians.
I don’t typically drink, but one spot I really enjoy that has a good Old Fashioned and a trivia night is Oldfields. You’ll want to check their schedule, and it’s usually easy to find parking on the side streets.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout my friend Fiona Hillery, for working with me resiliently and consistently for 3 years, a path forged by discovery of life and business through the power of the tarot, and unlocking gifts based in the mystic arts, as a blueprint to all that is. I would like to thank Brian Cook, for believing in the power of community and elevating my best selling necklace with his incredibly well designed and nurtured lapidary works and in the process creating something bigger than ourselves through service to others and sustainability . I would like to thank the WJA for mentoring my path for the past 2 years, supplying free educational tools, and connecting me with incredibly talented designers and artists. I would like to than Luiza Bacetti, and Elijah Hernandez, the ones who seeded in my heart the idea for a crystal necklace that can now change lives by just existing. I thank anyone and everyone, seen at some point as villains or heroes. They have all helped me realize I am my own knight in shining armor. I am the one I have been waiting for.
