Meet Reynaldo Pacheco | Artist – Philanthropist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Reynaldo Pacheco and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Reynaldo, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
My journey began in the vibrant heart of South America, La Paz, Bolivia, where the seeds of my acting passion took root through street performances and unconventional theater experiences like the ‘theatre of the oppressed’. Without the luxury of formal acting schools, we embraced workshops led by visiting foreigners and gypsies, drawing inspiration from their teachings and books. This thirst for knowledge and unconventional training fueled the fire within, propelling me towards Los Angeles, driven by an unwavering passion for acting.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I left Bolivia with the dream to become a Hollywood Actor. I promised God that I would create the opportunities I never had for the next generation. Thats I why I funded HAPA with my sister Alejandra Pacheco, it was a complete acting program that connects cities with the latest acting techniques thanks to Video calls and the perks of globalization.
Today HAPA has expanded from
Bolivia to many countries including Los Angeles itself! I had the pleasure of coaching my self to celebrities like the Kardashian Kendall Jenner, Karol G, Camila Morrone, etc.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A rock on top of Runyon Park – where you can see the Hollywood Sign, Downtown Los Angeles, the observatory and pretty much the rest of Los angeles in the distance on a clear day. I love to sit and just imagine whats next, meditate and be grateful to be part of this city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In this magical town of Los Angeles I was lucky enough to learn from some incredible artists that shaped me as an actor and a persona:
– Christopher Plummer: When we were shooting Beginners, Mr Plummer taught me the gift of being present and open to every person no matter what. He also was phenomenal with his subtext – sometimes you could hear the thoughts he was creating through the lines.
– Sandra Bullock – (Our Brand is Crisis)
Sandi has the biggest heart and loves to add surprising elements of comedy in her work.
It was beautiful to see her turn a normal scene into a comedic moment that later on the audience enjoyed with burst of laughters. Sandi gave me roots in this town reminded me that family and friends come
First in life.
– Ewan McGregor – (Beginners) as a young Latino Actor I was struggling with “loosing my accent” to fit into the mold of Hollywood.
He changed my mind by highlighting that my accent is what made me unique and that my job was not to loose anything but to add and expand. “Add the American dialect, but never loose yours”
– Ernest Borgnine (The man who shook the hand of Vicente Fernandez) Mr Borgnine taught me to love language and his advice was simple but impactful: Read out-loud everyday something meaningful to you. “Enjoy the language, feel the words and let language affect you”
– Eva Longoria (Without men) When we were shooting the film Eva was working on her cook book, perfume line, a Tv Show (Devious Maids) and always inspiring the whole cast with following every dream we want. She is a force and I love her for that. She is the reason why I dared to step outside acting and fund the acting school HAPA and non profit Changing stories.
