We had the good fortune of connecting with Rhonda Moret and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rhonda, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
As a woman business owner and mother, I believe the most important gift I’ve given my children is a deep understanding of the value of hard work and the fulfillment that comes from purposeful endeavors. From a young age, I’ve involved them in aspects of my business, allowing them to witness firsthand the dedication, perseverance, and passion required to succeed. I’ve taught them that true success isn’t just about financial gain, but about finding meaning in what you do and making a positive impact on others. By encouraging them to take on age-appropriate responsibilities and challenges, I’ve helped cultivate their work ethic and problem-solving skills. Moreover, I’ve emphasized the importance of collaboration, showing them how teamwork and diverse perspectives can lead to innovative solutions and shared success. Through my example and guidance, I’ve instilled in them the understanding that work isn’t just a means to an end, but a pathway to personal growth, self-discovery, and contributing to society. My hope is that this foundation will empower them to pursue careers that align with their values and bring them a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Nearly eight years ago, I launched a leadership development and DEI firm with a vision to create lasting impact in organizations. What sets us apart is our unwavering dedication to excellence and our commitment to delivering tangible results for every client project we undertake. The most exhilarating aspect of our work is witnessing the real-world impact we create. This is evident in the high levels of engagement during our workshops, the profound and thoughtful discussions that emerge in small breakout sessions, and the consistently positive evaluation scores we receive. These outcomes make all our hard work and dedication worthwhile.
The journey to where we are today business-wise has been far from easy, but immensely rewarding. We faced numerous challenges, including establishing credibility in a competitive market, adapting to rapidly evolving DEI landscapes, and convincing organizations of the long-term value of our services. We overcame these obstacles through persistence, continuous learning, and a relentless focus on delivering measurable results for our clients.
What I want the world to know about our brand and story is that we’re not just consultants; we’re catalysts for meaningful change. Our approach goes beyond surface-level diversity initiatives to foster truly inclusive environments where every individual can thrive. We’re committed to creating lasting impact, one organization at a time, and we believe that by elevating leadership and embracing diversity, we can contribute to a more equitable and innovative business world.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had the opportunity to host my best friend in the area, I know exactly where and what I would suggest! We’d kick off our adventure with a visit to the Huntington Library in Pasadena, which is by far one of my favorite places on earth. I would allocate a full day to explore its acres, beautiful gardens, and incredibly impressive art collections.
And in that, I love the arts, no visit to the area would be complete without catching a musical, ballet, or symphony at one of the city’s incredible performing arts venues.
But then, I think what might just be the highlight of our weekend will be a full day of relaxation at the Miraval Spa at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad. This luxurious spa offers globally inspired services and award-winning wellness experiences designed to rejuvenate the spirit and renew the soul.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
As I reflect on my journey, I am profoundly grateful for my late mother, whose unwavering support, mentorship, and love have shaped the person I am today. From my earliest childhood memories to my young adulthood, she was a constant source of encouragement, always believing in my potential even when I doubted myself. Her tireless efforts to provide me with opportunities, whether it was through her guidance in my education or her gentle nudges to pursue my passions, laid the foundation for my success. She taught me the importance of resilience, hard work, and kindness, instilling values that continue to guide me. Her ability to listen without judgment and offer wise counsel helped me navigate the challenges of growing up, while her unconditional love created a safe space for me to explore my identity and dreams. I owe so much of my achievements and character to her nurturing spirit, and I carry her lessons with me every day, forever grateful for the profound impact she had on my life.
