We had the good fortune of connecting with Robin Wang and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The triggering point of starting my own business when I found out that how I much I enjoyed to create new things and bring changes to people’s life. I soon realized working in the corporate with 9 to 5 lifestyle is not going to help me achieve my goal. So I started my own company during the time when I was pursing my graduate degree.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LearningPal, the company founded by Robin Wang at age of 26, known for its product DocuPal AI, is a cornerstone of Wang’s career, introducing him to the AI-driven enterprise software industry. Wang started the company while pursuing his graduate degree, and he immediately devoted himself full-time to it when the company received investment from one of the cofounders of Alibaba. This venture wasn’t just a business—it was a mission to transform document management with AI, leveraging computer vision and natural language processing to automate document handling at an unprecedented scale. By late 2021, DocuPal was extracting key data points from over 10 million enterprise documents annually at 99.7% accuracy for clients like Daikin, NTT, and FM Logistics. Efficiency gains exceeded 60% over manual approaches across banks, manufacturers, and hotels. In 2022, Wang architected and negotiated the acquisition of LearningPal by Ripcord.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out for the whole LearningPal team. When I started LearningPal in 2017, nobody believed that the company can go that far. It is the team effort and years of dedication that turns a student project into multi-national software company. And eventually the company is acquired by Ripcord in year 2022.
