Meet Rodolfo Raffulls | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rodolfo Raffulls and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rodolfo, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
As a child, I always had dreams to be in the spotlight. Many creative ideas always came to mind, I was in many dance teams and would compete all over California. I was also in modeling and acting classes. As I grew older I loved showcasing my art, and my visions to the world. I enjoy expressing my talent to others, we are all born with a unique gift. I also enjoy making comedy skits and having people laugh and smile fill my heart. I enjoy being the creative director in projects I work on. Bringing my ideas to life are my true passion in my art. When people see my work I want them to feel something. Bringing out their fire and their true passions is my goal. Creativity is beauty and that’s why I pursued this career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a business owner, I opened my own Sage and Palo Santo brand back in 2020 . (laselvala.com)I also model, I enjoy fashion and showcasing ideas. I work with a lot of Los Ángeles photographers to bring the vision to life.

Having my online business is amazing, has its challenges but has taught me a lot during these years.
I make all my flowered sages and kits myself. Every day I get so many ideas and i enjoy bringing them to life. All my photoshoots, videos, and online production are done by me. I enjoy being the creative director for all my projects. I’ve learned to be patient and to never give up on your art. Networking is a big one for me. Showcasing your art to the world is important, not caring what others are going to say.

I’ve been in modeling/ acting my whole life. I have been in several music videos, podcasts, and articles.
Putting together outfits, and staging the photoshoots bring so much life to me. I can’t wait to keep producing art and showing the world all my ideas.

I want the world to know I am an artist, I am a Cuban American with dreams and inspirations. I would love to live my dreams and work with others with the same passions as myself. I have plans to also make music so keep an eye for that! thank you!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to my mother’s home. Best home-cooked meals with love. We come from a Cuban culture with so much love and light. We would wake up every morning that week and have our cafecito Cuban style! Conversations are always deep but filled with laughs and good times. We love our rum and our fresh cold beers! Cuban music will be on and the dancing will begin. Being at my mom’s house brings so much fulfillment to my heart. I would love to bring over another soul to experience the same feeling,. Beach walks at night, shopping, and enjoying the Los Angeles weather!

I find going to networking events is really entertaining. Meeting new people and hearing their stories is very interesting. We are all born with gifts and it’s nice to share them. I love meeting dancers, singers, painters, models. Witnessing people art come to life is amazing!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wanted to dedicate it to my family: my sisters, my mom; all the women in my family that have molded me into who I am today. I enjoy watching my family expand and teaching me skills for my own artistic abilities. I also wanted to thank my high school dance teacher, Ms. Steen.
She made such a huge impact on my career. As a dancer, I was always afraid to showcase my talents, and she helped me come out of my shell. Ms. Steen definitely embraced my confidence. Thank you to everyone whose been with me in this journey,
