Meet Ruxanda Calistru | Singer songwriter piano and dancer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruxanda Calistru and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ruxanda, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
That was a path that I related and I felt that I can do for the rest of my life ,and I can embrace it since I was a little girl. I was 4 years old and I would emulate artists artists singing dancing I would try to copy routines from the TV from music videos and performances that I’ve seen. Also a big role Had on my career and my decisions for my career my family. My parents both are musicians and they inspired me a lot to become the artist that I am.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I chose an artistic career of singing expressing my thoughts my emotions through my songs, Through my song writing, through my dancing, singing, through my performances. And all these emotions that I express through my art are shared to the world with a great positive purpose , live purpose, to bring to the world more love, more hope, Peace and Freedom.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
1st of all I really love to travel. Probably I will go with my friends on a wonderful trip you’re full trip on the beautiful beaches of the Caribbean islands, because I love water. I am a scorpio. Also I would make sure that I would go dining to the best Italian restaurant, Also we would eat at Romanian and and mediterranean restaurants. I would definitely the evenings going out salsa dancing and would go watch a beautiful concert or a live show.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would start 1st of all with my parents. I was raised in a family of musicians. They always inspired me to follow my dreams my path , to fight for what I always want. They always encouraged me to persevere for whatever I aim for. They always reminded me how strong I am,Motivated and dedicated I am to everything that I put my heart into. Of course I would like to Mention all my mentors my dance mentors choreographers, singer’s vocal teacher’s, Piano teachers, And artists that inspired me to become the artist that I am today.
