We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Schuermann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ryan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Any business transaction is, essentially, a temporary relationship with another person. And so we treat our customers the way one expects to be treated in any relationship – with respect and compassion. What sets LA Guitar apart is that we’ve always provided outstanding customer service. We cater to each player’s individual needs and preferences, letting them choose how they want their instrument to sound, rather than harboring the belief that there’s a right way to set up a guitar. We want everyone to leave feeling heard, understood, and completely satisfied with the work. That means treating every instrument with the same care and attention, whether it’s a celebrity client or a young player who comes in with a pink hello kitty guitar. We’ve never used flashy advertising gimmicks. Our belief has always been that if you provide high quality work while making people feel valued and respected, then business will grow. And our high rate of return customers is a direct result of that.

Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
