Meet SA3ZIO | Music Producer and Engineer

Hi SA3ZIO, how has your background shaped the person you are today?

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, where music has been a central part of my life from an early age. My journey into music began with the guidance of my music professor, Gabriela Núñez, who taught music at The British School of Caracas, where I attended elementary school. In her classes, every student was encouraged to sing, and being in tune was emphasized. It was during these formative years that I discovered my passion for music and developed my vocal skills.

Although I was eager to pursue singing and piano lessons outside of school, my parents were initially hesitant. However, my love for music only grew stronger over time. I consistently excelled in music-related activities and was honored to receive the Music Trophy at The British School of Caracas in 2013.

After graduating from high school, I faced the decision of what to study in college. Despite my passion for music, I initially pursued other fields like marketing and digital arts and design, partly due to my parents’ reservations. However, as I progressed through my studies, I came to a realization: music wasn’t just a hobby for me—it was my true calling. After open and heartfelt discussions with my parents, they ultimately supported my decision to pursue a career in music professionally. It was at that pivotal moment that I embarked on my career as a music producer, engineer, singer, and businessman.

This journey has taught me the importance of following my passion and staying true to myself. It’s a testament to my resilience and determination to pursue what truly fulfills me. My background in Venezuela and the early influence of my music education have shaped me into the dedicated and passionate music producer I am today.

What sets my work apart is not just the technical skill I bring to music production, but also the passion and dedication I pour into every project. I take pride in my ability to connect with artists on a personal level, understanding their vision and bringing it to life through my production expertise.

One aspect I’m particularly proud of is my versatility as a music producer. From crafting intricate instrumentals to fine-tuning vocal performances, I thrive on the challenge of exploring different genres and styles. Whether it’s shaping the sound of a heartfelt ballad or creating an energetic club banger, I strive to deliver music that resonates with both artists and listeners alike.

My journey to where I am today has been filled with challenges, but I’ve always approached them with determination and resilience. While there were initial doubts from some, including my parents, about my decision to pursue music professionally, I remained steadfast in my pursuit. Their concerns were understandable, but I was driven by a deep passion for music and a belief in my own abilities.

Overcoming obstacles has been a key part of my journey. From navigating the complexities of the music industry to balancing creative expression with commercial demands, each challenge has taught me valuable lessons and helped shape me into the artist I am today. I’ve learned the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and staying true to my artistic vision.

Ultimately, I want the world to know that I am deeply passionate about music and committed to excellence in everything I do. My story is one of determination, hard work, and the belief that with dedication, anything is possible. I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions and never underestimate the power of their own creativity.

I extend my sincere gratitude to Ted Kay for trusting in me and connecting me with numerous artists and music professionals. Thank you for taking me under your wing and providing me with the opportunity to work for and with one of the labels (Rich Music LTD) I admired since childhood. Equally, I would like to thank Neil Notkin and Max Matluck for their invaluable support, trust, and for introducing me to industry professionals from the very beginning. Without you, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

I would also like to express my gratitude to Pensión (Arnold Gutiérrez) for being one of my Ableton and producing mentors and consistently pushing me to become a better music creator. Thank you for believing in me and my work, and for introducing me to incredible music figures. Additionally, I want to extend my deepest appreciation to Koen Heldens, who has been one of my most influential mentors for engineering. Thank you for always sharing your knowledge and sauce.
