Meet Saabir Talib | Entertainment Manager, Producer, Promoter, Consultant.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Saabir Talib and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Saabir, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
It was being able to ‘Humbly’ get the right team together, not micro-manage and allow them to be themselves and do what we agreed to do! I didn’t have to be the smartest guy in the room.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well then; First let me say I Love being In Charge of Making The Situation, Production, Performance etc, ‘Right’ for individuals! My work required me/us to ‘Get It Right’ the first time. Just as important, (if not more so), is the relationships developed over 25-30 years in the Entertainment Business is without question something I hold very highly! I’ve maintained a moral and integral character over all these years and even today it still stands across the industry. I’ve been able to get where I am by holding myself and others accountable to and for the clients we’ve been responsible for and to.
I’ve got an addidge I use that’s relative;
‘WE MADE US’… meaning,
The better we perform for our clients, the better we position our brand.
Challenges and many an it’s not something that’s ‘easy’… However, the business of entertainment is the beast it is at the levels we’ve run at for a very long time. Therefore when the contract is being pursued, we had better be ready to put our heads down, get focused and do what we’re contracted to do!
I’ve come to learn along the way that Relationships are King, Integrity is Queen, Performance is next and A Successful Venture Aces the Deal!!!
I would like the world to know that;
As I’m in the;
‘Close Like I Opened’ stage of my professional career…, (And since I ‘Opened’ with Biggie Smalls, Jr Mafia & Puff Daddy/Diddy), in Philly for their first time…
I intend to ‘Close Heavy’ so the world should know I’m Not Done!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Chima Steakhouse & Ocean Prime to eat. Sixers, Phillies or Flyers games for some fun… Avenue of The Arts for some Theater and The Kimmel Ctr. Penns Landing for some craft and light fun. Then we’ll do some Chris’ Jazz Cafe or South Restaurant & Jazz for some relaxing music.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Mr Troy Carter, Bro. Charlie Mack Alston,
Mr Chauncey Childs & J. Erving Jr.
