Hi Sahana, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote is “Thoughts become things. If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand.”- Bob Proctor

This quote sums up much of my life experiences. I’ve come to understand that everything begins with an idea. As a child, I always dreamed big and somehow knew those dreams would come to life. I realized that the things I thought about often started to happen, so even as an adult, I continue to use my imagination to create.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, The Real Sahana LLC, is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs to align their mindset with actionable strategies to create profitable, scalable businesses. What sets me apart is my unique combination of mindset coaching and practical business frameworks, helping entrepreneurs gain clarity, regulate their nervous systems, and turn their expertise into irresistible offers. I’m most proud of the transformations I’ve helped create—watching clients go from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to confident and successful business owners. What excites me most is helping entrepreneurs realize that success starts in the mind—once they shift their mindset and align their actions, the opportunities become limitless.

But getting here wasn’t easy. I started as a hairstylist at 15 years old and began selling digital products for hairstylists and clients at 17. Over the years, I’ve faced countless challenges: from burnout and financial hardship to moments of self-doubt. I learned that success doesn’t come from doing more but from aligning your actions with your purpose. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that time is the real currency, and creating freedom through alignment is the ultimate goal. My journey has shaped my mission to help others believe in themselves, take aligned action, and build businesses that feel authentic and impactful. The Real Sahana LLC is not just about coaching—it’s about transformation and empowering entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into reality.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting the area, I’d plan an unforgettable week filled with culture, food, and iconic LA vibes. We’d kick things off in Leimert Park on Sunday, where the drummers, vendors, and celebration of African heritage create an energy like no other. For lunch, we’d stop by Simply Wholesome for a delicious patty and some soul-nourishing food.

Midweek, we’d explore Downtown LA’s jewelry district, where we’d pick up some classic LA-inspired jewelry. No trip to LA would be complete without a visit to Venice Beach for that quintessential tourist-meets-local vibe. For a luxe evening, we’d head to my favorite spot—the Intercontinental Hotel for its rooftop restaurant, boasting breathtaking views as the tallest in the city.

We’d also take a meaningful trip to Watts, where I’d show her my great-grandfather’s monuments, followed by a stop at my favorite taco spot, Los Sombreros in Compton, for an authentic bite. It’d be a week filled with culture, food, and experiences that capture the heart of LA.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes first to my amazing daughter—she’s sweet, encouraging, and always cheering me on, which means the world to me. I also want to recognize my incredible entrepreneur community for their unwavering support and the way we uplift each other every step of the way.
