We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Baugnon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Without risk I wouldn’t be anywhere in life. Risk keeps life interesting, whether it’s a success or failure. One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was moving to LA at 20 years old and not knowing a single person! I am so thankful I have the gumption to take risks or I wouldn’t have much joy in my life. It can be hard to jump into the unknown, but I’d rather learn from my failures than to always wonder what if. I never want to have regrets and as long as you keep true to yourself, take those risks and keep the faith you will lead a fulfilling life. It can be so hard sometimes when what you want doesn’t line up with what other’s think you should be doing, but you have to follow through and do what you know and hope is the next right move for your life. I am so thankful all of my decisions so far have lead me to be a Producer/Creative Executive at K Factor Films. The entertainment business is chock full of risk everyday, and you just have to believe in yourself and your team to keep going and trying new things!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an actress and a Creative Executive/Producer at the production company K Factor Films. K Factor Films was founded in early 2021 and has been a whirlwind ever since! We have a new movie called “Night Night” coming out on November 16th starring Brenna D’Amico, Matty Cardarople, Eric Roberts and Tony Todd. We are so excited for everyone to see it and we have many more projects currently in the works.

I have been in LA for quite a few years now and it has never been an easy road. Starting out not knowing a single person has its challenges, but if you stick it out long enough, eventually you will meet your tribe! I am a big believer that what you put out in the world will come back to you and I have been lucky to meet some of the most genuine and kind people that have helped me on my journey to where I am today.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
LA is such a huge place and the choices are endless! Usually if it is someone’s first time in the city we do the typical tourist run of the hotspots like the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Park, The Grove etc. I love that as much as the next person, but I am all about trying new places and finding fun spots! Silverlake/Los Feliz/Echo Park are in general is full of great spots from Little Dom’s on Hillhurst to Bar Flores in Echo Park. I live in Toluca Lake/Burbank area so I love Forman’s Tavern on Riverside and Urban Press Winery in downtown Burbank. There are so many fun things to do! I also love going to Dodgers games and finding any sort of love music!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My friends and family always! My parents have supported me and my dreams from day one and I am never lost on the fact that not everyone is so lucky. I am so grateful for the friends, teachers, and mentors I have met since living in LA. I have learned invaluable lessons that have helped me tremendously in my everyday life and career!
