We had the good fortune of connecting with Santiago Dangerous and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Santiago, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor is remembering why I have myself the name of ‘Dangerous’ in the first place. I’m “Dangerous” because everything I do I succeed in. I have so many skills that I may seem like a threat to most but really I am an asset to the enlightened.
My brand is successful because everything I do I put the highest quality in my performance so I have the highest quality catalog of products that inspire and make people feel something, you know the whole purpose of art in the first place? Lol
I’m successful because I never stopped being a student for so many crafts and never ignored an inquiry to be a teacher and share the knowledge.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Honestly art is an opinionated sport, what sets me apart in my art is I guess is if it makes you feel something. Some may not feel anything with my art. Where others would want to plaster it on a t-shirt and cherish it forever.

Wether it’s my paintings or illustrations, or a dope photoshoot poster or a treatment for a music video, or even a short horror film I just put quality and time others may not. I’m working on increasing production levels now to be able to get more stuff out there more frequently.

I’m most proud of many shoots I’ve done honestly just check me out on my IG and you will see the evolution of Danger lol.
But I’m most excited because I have an accessory line dropping this winter.
The big reveal including the name and products will happen on my page so keep your eyes peeled for more details as they update!

What I have learned over the years is I have sat on a bunch of sets for hours, I have put in the early days, long hours in hair and make up and the late nights. Nothing about the industry should feel easy if your doing it right.
Yes you can enjoy what you do and it won’t feel like work, but other days and gigs it can feel draining, but we all sacrifice somewhere at some point.

My largest obstacle was doing all of this with a chronic medical condition called pancreatitis and let me tell you it was nothing short of some of the hardest I’ve pushed myself in life to be able to overcome the limitations put on me everyday because of it.

But despite it all I want everyone to know that we all struggle with something, that’s ok. We all have the ability to overcome whatever it is, 9/10 your answer is the one thing you may not want to do to facilitate that change. Growth is pain, never forget that but no matter what make this life worth it as much as you can as often as you can.

Grow all your skills, become the fastest, hardest, dopest, most skilled and highly favored.
When someone has one skill mastered in a craft have 5 skills mastered in your craft.

Be DANGEROUS !

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Best place to check out some haunted places are in the old Sacramento and downtown area they have a bunch of historically preserved buildings and structures you can still access and it provides the most fun times with some of your more scary friends to be tortured with lol.

The darling Avery is a nice rooftop bar we can visit for decent drinks and a view.
Blue Cue is a nice spot for some good 90’s 2000’s music and great drink deals!

Then off Bradshaw bold we can go to K1 speed and across the street from K1 speed is The Rink a roller skating rink.
Then when the sun goes down they can pop back across the street and go to the drive ins which have food trucks on location now.

Honestly downtown is full of characters and mom and pop shops, bars and places to eat so taking a day and renting some electric scooters and just exploring is always a treat.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents and grandparents for always being there and giving me all the tools and guidance I could ask for and continue to ask for lol. My closest friends/best friends Tori, Mase MF Trigga, & Tootie.
My cousin/best friend Ariel
& all the models, actors, extras, photographers and directors I’ve met along the way who believed in me and have supported me over the years.
