We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Adler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sara, how do you think about risk?
I LOVE taking risks! (maybe a little too much at times) I’ve always been of the mindset, big risk, big reward, and for me, it has absolutely been the case. I’ve never been one to follow the masses, or “fall in line” with what we’ve been taught we’re supposed to be doing, aka, follow a linear path. It’s allowed me to see outside the box, which typically involves taking massive risks. When I quit my 6 figure corporate job to start my own healing practice, most people told me I was crazy, yet, it was the best and biggest risk I have ever taken. It transformed my life into an absolute dream come true. I believe so deeply that in order for us to grow and evolve in this life, we have to stretch ourselves past our comforts and what we know. Inherently, that means getting pretty damn comfortable with stepping into the unknown, moving to the beat of your own drum, and challenging what you believe is “safe.” For me, my life is a beautiful and exciting story that is being written by every step I take. I’m choosing to take steps in directions I’ve never been, because it leads me into absolute magic I didn’t know existed. I didn’t come here to play it safe. I came here to LIVE. I’d rather stumble through a risk, then stay stuck in my comfort zone.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Some days I have to pinch myself that I have actually brought my dreams into reality. Starting this business was the absolute hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, and yet, I’d do it over and over again to feel and experience what I am today. My practice is different than most in that, I’ve combined the human psychological, and spiritual metaphysical components of the healing journey into one. It’s a rare quality I hold to be able to have such deep understanding of the human psyche and subconscious AND the gift of clairvoyance, which means, I have the capacity to see energy.
Combining my two gifts into one is something I do not see other coaches and healers do. It’s what sets me apart in a massive way. It’s usually one or the other, and it usually leads to very little progress or change. Figuring out how to meld these two worlds together is what has been so incredibly challenging to market, share, and sell, as my entire business is online. It’s taken me years of practice, dedication, trial and error, lots and lots of failures, and persistence beyond what I knew I had within me, to get to where I am today; which is a fully self sustaining business.
I’ve learned to build an incredible amount of trust within myself along the way, because every single time I tried to follow someone else’s “way” or path, I hit dead ends. It is only when I follow my gut, my soul, my way that I have been able to find success. it’s shown me time and time again, that we are all really here to do something specific, and when we find that thing, put our entire heart behind it, and take radical action to make it come to life… it will work.
There’s something pretty amazing that happens when you choose to step into the work your soul is here to do, in that, it really illuminates and shows you all of the limitations and fears getting in your way. It is the best shadow work practice you’ll ever do. I’ve learned to love that part of the process, and see every obstacle I now come up against as an incredible opportunity to know myself deeper, expand myself wider, and elevate my business higher. This is what I share and teach my clients. Inside of my world, it isn’t about getting a place where everything is roses and butterflies, that’s not real. It’s about learning how to dance with life. How to use what is coming your way as fuel for you expansion and elevation. How to find unwavering connection to who you are, and who you’re here to be, so that no matter how big the challenge, you step forward anyways. It’s about being so unapologetically immersed in your worthiness that you feel confident and comfortable to go for your DREAMS, and bring them into your reality.
My life is my business, my business is my life, in the best possible way. The entire practice was birthed after my mom passed away 8 years ago which catapulted me into my own healing journey. I saw just how powerful this work can be, and my mission became so very clear – help others get out of misery too. I’ve now helped hundreds of humans transform and actually, truly change their lives because of my unique skill set and unwavering dedication.
I believe so fully in the power of purpose, and that is what I support my clients stepping into. I’ve come to shake up the world of healing by making ancient and other worldly concepts digestible and easy to work with, while also teaching humans how to do this human thing, better. We’re so much more than we can even comprehend, and I won’t stop until as many people as I can access, see themselves with clarity and truth. I could never subscribe to the whole, “life’s a b*tch, and then you die,” concept. I’m on the side of, life is absolutely magnificent, so let’s do the work to be able to experience it’s magic.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being an LA native, this city is in my blood! I’m a beach girl through and through, so you know we would be hanging in Venice beach, cruising through Abbot Kinney, having some lunch at Rooster Fish, then grabbing a drink at Belles, followed by a sunset scooter ride on the beach path. We’d go find a silent disco party on the sand (because there’s always one somewhere, duh!) and then some delicious lunch at Elephante over looking the water in Santa Monica. We’d for sure have to go see the beauty at LACMA, and hopefully catch a concert in the park, followed by dinner at Something About Her (one of my favorite spots) Top it off with a day trip to Catalina, maybe even by helicopter, where we can zipline, enjoy lunch on the water and a swim in the ocean!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my mentor of 10 years, Johnna Trimmer. She has been by my side every single solitary step of my journey, and without her, I honestly don’t know where I would be. Her support, care, teachings, and incredible capacity to live in the highest regard possible has shown me what humans are really capable of. What relationships can be for one another. And that it only takes one person believing in you for you to believe in yourself. She has held me through some of my darkest, hardest, and scariest moments. She is my role model, my guide, my earth angel. Thank you, Johnna, for helping me become the woman I am today. I am so proud of who I’ve emerged as, and it is in monumental thanks, to you.
