Meet Sarahí García | Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarahí García and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarahí, how do you think about risk?
For me, without risk, there is no change. Without fear, there is no motivation to become a better person. Doing what scares us takes us further. If I hadn’t taken the risk of being in a long-distance relationship for 8 years, I wouldn’t be living in Los Angeles by the beach with the love of my life. If I hadn’t taken that leap, I would still be preparing to revalidate my dentistry degree, when it wasn’t truly making me happy. Taking risks, to me, means going after your dreams, even when the path is uncertain or intimidating. It’s the risks we take that allow us to transform our lives and find the happiness and fulfillment we seek.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey is just getting started, so let me tell you a little about myself. I spent my entire life in a small city in Mexico, Culiacán, Sinaloa, which was controlled by the Sinaloa cartel and plagued by insecurity. In a place where walking alone was not an option, I found the courage to pursue something much bigger.
When I was 16, I started a long-distance relationship with someone I had known since childhood but hadn’t seen much because he lived in California. We would meet once a year, but that all changed when my brother came to California to study English. That summer, I started talking to Aaron, and we decided to make our relationship official despite the distance. It was one of the biggest challenges we’ve faced, but all the tears and the fights with my parents—who didn’t want us together—were worth it for the strong love we had. For four years, we hid the relationship because my parents were against it, but I knew what I felt for him, and we never broke up.
I continued studying dentistry because my dad is a dentist, and I practically had a job waiting for me after graduation. I chose this career because it seemed like the safest option, living in a drug-affected city. But deep down, what I truly wanted was to help people in a more meaningful way. I also always had a passion for painting, art, photography, and video. However, in Mexico, these were not seen as viable career paths because they didn’t pay well. The only thing standing between us and closing the distance was finishing my degree.
Then, COVID happened. We spent 9 months without seeing each other, and I was just waiting for my university degree. During that time, I began my social media journey with the distant dream of becoming a content creator, but I still had plans to revalidate my dentistry degree in the U.S. when I moved to be with my love.
After 8 years of long-distance and many challenges, I finally moved to California. But as I started preparing for the INBDE (the exam required to attend dental school in the U.S.), I realized that dentistry wasn’t what I wanted to do with my life. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made—to follow my dreams instead of fulfilling others’ expectations of me. This was particularly complicated because my career choice had been the reason we endured so many years apart. But this is where the immense love and heart of my husband, my best friend, came into play. He gave me the strength and the opportunity to follow my dreams. He has supported us financially so I could focus on growing in social media.
My mission in social media is to help people, just like I wanted from the start, but this time, doing so from our experience in a long-distance relationship. I share advice on how to cultivate a beautiful love because we’ve worked hard to nurture our relationship and love each other deeply. I also aim to share messages about mental health, helping others embrace who they are, reminding them how beautiful life is, and the importance of living in the present. As the Dalai Lama XIV says, “There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called Yesterday and the other is called Tomorrow. Today is the right day to Love, Believe, Do and mostly Live.”
We started a YouTube channel two years ago, and I’ve also focused more on social media. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I feel happy and fulfilled knowing that I followed my heart and intuition. I have peace, I am love, I am light, and that is what I want to share with the world. Our brand is centered around relationships and mental health.
It hasn’t been easy. I completely changed careers from dentistry to becoming a content creator. In my first year, I focused on showing our true selves, and our community began to grow. I learned how to edit, both on my phone and in Adobe Premiere, and I even learned English. I passed the INBDE because I wanted to prove to myself that I am capable of achieving anything I set my mind to. Last year, 2024, was a huge challenge because I gave my all on YouTube and Instagram, but I didn’t see much growth in followers or views. It’s been a tough process, but I’m not discouraged. It’s only been two years, and I’m proud of everything I’ve learned along the way.
I’ve focused on finding balance between doing what makes me happy and working. My mental peace is my priority. I want to be productive, but always focusing on enjoying the moment. I trust the process, and I know that I hold the power to choose my reality.
We are a couple who loves nature, and in our YouTube videos, you can join us as we go camping in California, Utah, and Colorado, while sharing advice on love and mental health. You can also find us on Instagram and other social platforms that come along the way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in the Redondo Beach area, and my favorite spot for coffee and brunch is Yellow Vase in Palos Verdes. It’s a small place in a magical area—you’ll feel like you’re in an Italian Tuscan village. It has several locations, but that one is my favorite.
Nelson at Terranea Resort is one of our go-to spots because of its beautiful ocean view. It’s a resort where several movies have been filmed, and we love taking all our visitors there. Oh, and you have to check out Riviera Village Beach in Redondo—it’s become my favorite beach in all of SoCal. Or maybe I shouldn’t have told you that… just kidding! By the way, Redondo Pier also has some delicious food.
I almost forgot about my absolute favorite restaurant in the WORLD. Since I was in a long-distance relationship, it was the first place I would visit: Kicking Crab. Their shrimp bags are incredible. They have several locations, too.
Another spot we always visit and have “husband-and-wife” dates at is Little Tokyo. Our favorite ramen place there is Rakkan Ramen because their broth is vegetable-based, and it’s super light on the stomach. Another Little Tokyo gem we love is Chinchikurin—they have the best fried noodles.
Guerrilla Tacos in Los Angeles is seriously one of the best taco places I’ve ever tried. But honestly, in LA, you can find amazing tacos on every corner. If you see a trompo al pastor, you know it’s going to be good—trust me.
And of course, museums in LA are a must. We love the LACMA lights, and The Getty is another favorite. Watching games at the SoFi is also a must—any sport, if there’s a game, GO. Basketball, baseball, hockey—it’s the best. And there’s so much more to discover!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my husband, who’s my best friend. Aaron Espino. We’ve been together for 12 years, and without a doubt, I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for him. In every way—emotionally, financially, in everything—he’s been my rock. He is the one who should be interviewed because he is the person I admire most in this world.
