We had the good fortune of connecting with Sasha Lalite and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sasha, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?

The biggest lessons I’ve learned about my professional journey is that you must stay true to yourself, and that rejection is redirection. I have learned to embrace who I am as a talent – with confirmation that it is okay to not fit in a box. All my experiences have built me into the person I am today and I’m able to apply my expertise and help others execute on their vision because of this.

I believe we are all multi-faceted beings with multiple gifts and talents, meant to impact, bless and influence while we are here. We are meant to lead purposeful lives. Our professions allow a way to do this. As an entrepreneur, I’ve met others like myself who do not just do “one thing”.

What was the first business you started?

I am the CEO and Head Jewelry Designer of Sasha L Jewels (SLJ)- a unique handmade jewelry boutique that offers chic, fresh, eclectic jewelry designs that make bold statements. I started Sasha L Jewels, over 10 years ago because I’ve always been a creative. It taught me how to build a small business from the ground up. This experience has allowed me to help all different size businesses.

As a life learner, I’ve learned other aspects of building a business such as marketing, branding and storytelling.

Sasha L Jewels unique jewelry designs are inspired by a myriad of life’s offerings and consist of bold statement pieces to express yourself through fashion. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Some of favorite things to do in the LA area is drive up the Pacific Coast Highway or visit the coast and beach towns such as Venice, Santa Monica and Malibu. I love to shop the street markets. A good hike or walk on the beach or nearby terrain, watching the beautiful sunset always sets the tone for the West Coast.

I love to browse the shops in Beverly Hills and discover new places to eat. The Hideaway has delicious dishes and drinks and you can’t beat the ambiance.

Nothing beats Hollywood and walking along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I enjoy a nice drive to North Hollywood/Studio City. A favorite stop is The Front Yard- a nice peaceful restaurant with unique dishes and indoor/outdoor seating.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I would like to dedicate this recognition first and foremost to God for continued direction and guidance in all my endeavors. I believe in purposeful leadership and work. Without my gifts, I could not bless and help others.
