Hi scott, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My decision to start a small business supporting the Navy Department of Defense (DoD) Missile Support Services stems from the need to improve our readiness as a nation and coalition as a beacon of freedom and democracy. We are adversaries with China, Iran, and Russia that are strategically trying to position themselves as world leaders with the intent to inflict harm on the US and their allies. My patriotism and pride for our country are strategic, and driven by both personal conviction and market opportunities. My motivations behind venturing into this domain, are to provide critical services providing technological innovations, supporting national security and, the pursuit of excellence in service delivery to our nation.
At the start of this endeavor lies my profound commitment to bolstering national security, In an era characterized by geopolitical complexities and evolving threats, the Navy DoD’s missile defense capabilities stand as linchpins in safeguarding our nation’s interests. Recognizing the imperative to fortify defense capabilities, the decision to establish a business supporting missile support services is anchored in the ethos of service to our nation.

Moreover, the decision to venture into Missile defense was based on the assessment of market opportunities, where the evolving nature of military operations and defense requirements, there exists a burgeoning demand for specialized support services tailored to the intricacies of missile defense systems. Drawing upon 35+ years in uniform and government civil service, my team and I provide a wealth of experience and expertise in defense contracting and engineering solutions. Synectic Solutions Inc. is uniquely positioned to address this demand and deliver value-added services to the Navy and DoD.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Scott Koslow’s journey embodies the epitome of dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to service. Beginning his career as a Navy Sailor, he embarked on a path defined by bravery and selflessness, serving in roles ranging from rescue swimmer to flight engineer. His tenure in the Navy, spanning from 1998 to 2008, saw him navigating the skies aboard various aircraft, including the HH46, HH-3, HH60 helicopters, and C130T, cargo aircraft demonstrating not only technical proficiency but also a steadfast resolve to safe guarding lives and upholding the nation’s security.

Transitioning from his illustrious military career, Scott Koslow seamlessly transitioned into the realm of civil service, assuming pivotal roles as a Navy Contracting Officer for NAVSEA and NAVFAC. In these capacities, he honed his acumen in procurement, contract management, and strategic decision-making, contributing to the efficient and effective execution of critical defense initiatives. His tenure as a civil servant underscored his unwavering dedication to serving the nation and leveraging his expertise to advance national security objectives.

In his subsequent endeavors as Director of Business Development, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Growth Officer, Scott Koslow demonstrated an innate knack for entrepreneurship and leadership, propelling a burgeoning $20 million business in the picturesque locale of Camarillo, California. His astute business acumen, coupled with a relentless pursuit of excellence, transformed Synectic Solutions Inc. into a leading service provider to Navy missile systems as a formidable force within the industry landscape. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

My ultimate adventure in Southern California with friends and family would be a journey with the thrill of boating and wakeboarding on Southern California’s breathtaking lakes. Surrounded by stunning scenery and pristine waters, each wakeboarding session will be exhilarating and a blend of adrenaline and serenity. Whether mastering new tricks or simply basking in the joy of the moment, every day on the water was a testament to the sheer bliss of summertime in Southern California. Each day would end with barbeque, a cold beverage, and lots of laughing and storytelling.

The next adventure would be enjoying the rugged terrain of the local desert and mountains on dirt bikes and offroad vehicles enjoying adrenaline, friendly competition, and exploration. We would ride with open areas and technical single tracks enjoying the dusty trails and rocky paths, Each twist and turn brought with it a sense of exhilaration and discovery, as we reveled in the sheer thrill of off-road adventure and the camaraderie of shared experiences with friends and family.

For our next epic journey, we made our way to Parker, Arizona, for a grand finale of celebration and relaxation. nestled along the scenic banks of the Colorado River, Parker Arizona offers a haven for rest and relaxation, and indulgence of life itself. The day begins with coffee, breakfast, and enjoying the mountain scape. The day is filled with some of the finest daytime and night boating in the world, enjoying family time at the local sandbar enjoying local food and beverages. From leisurely boating excursions to savoring delectable cuisine and raising a toast to cherished memories, our time in Parker will be a testament to the joys of good company and the simple pleasures of life. Surrounded by the laughter and warmth of family and friends, we reveled in the magic of the moment, cherishing the bonds that unite us and the memories that will last a lifetime.
