We had the good fortune of connecting with SEEMA BANSAL and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi SEEMA, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my own business because I noticed a void in the luxury floral market. Products didnt look like how they did online and we wanted to change that. We launched the worlds first e-commerce Eternity floral brand with our eternity roses that live up to one year without the need of water carefully packaged into our signature Parisian inspired hat boxes

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have always been a creative person and thrive when I am able to use my skills. I love to spend time creating products, drawing them and using visualization meditation to see if they will stick. Its an interesting practice that I’ve been doing for years. I am most excited about what the future holds for VEF. We’ve grown so much and will continue to do so with immaculate quality and innovation. We focus on being better then we were yesterday and giving our clients products they want or haven’t experienced before.
There were many challenges, one of the main ones was we were the first to ever SHIP FLOWERS INTERNATIONALLY. It had never been done before, we spent countless hours and months working hard at perfecting it. It was extremely heart breaking when strategies didnt work but we kept trying and thankfully we did and were able to take our business to the next level all while offering a great product and service.

I think the top lesson is to always continue to believe in yourself, be a sponge and learn, learn to pivot especially as an entrepreneur – not every idea will work. Be your own biggest cheerleader!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots in LA

I would start with Kreation Kafe and grab a juice ( 50 shades of green!) and a healthy snack.

Coffee/Matcha – blue bottle and alfreds.

El Sombereo in Manhattan beach for their Arnold Schwarzenegger shrimp tacos- the best hard shell shrimp tacos ever, always get with habanero sauce.

Take a beautiful drive along PCH to Nobu Malibu and get their amazing brunch. Their chicken and waffles are my favorite along with their sushi. Their market margarita is one of the best.

Bel Air Hotel- The bar is great and I also love brunch huevos rancheros

Erewhon Grocery store- one of my favorite places. I love their snack section and hot bar. Eat here a few times a week.

Best Indian in LA is Spice Affair in Beverly Hills

A quick hike to Runyon Canyon to see views of LA

Pilanies pilates with Alana is the best.

A sound bath on Santa Monica beach with Suzy – The copper vessel

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am so lucky I am surrounded by my amazing family and friends who have been there from the start. My co-founder also happens to be my husband ( at the start of our business my new boyfriend!) Hes been my rock for sure. I also am a big believer in the law of attraction and I love the book “The Secret”
