We had the good fortune of connecting with Shaffer Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shaffer, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is…”your attitude when you falls determines how long it will be before you get back up” What this means to me is that falls are inevitable so be prepared for them. In addition to that it mean to me that you should not get so bent out of shape when you do fall because everybody falls, and no one is exempt from life’s troubles. We should be focused more on getting back up then the actual fall, and learn that if we keep a positive mental attitude anything can be accomplished.. I like this quote because i know it to be true and it’s awesome wisdom to hold on to through life’s fight.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make sonically beautiful music for the souls of humanity… within my music i glorify being healthy and living a life of abundance and opulence. What sets me apart from others is the fact i am not afraid to be myself in a world that insist that you be the same as everyone else. Nothing about my success has been easy and i would not have it any other way. It has taught me resilience and that if you truly want something that you have to be willing to have patience… DO YOU KNOW THE TRUE DEFINITION OF PATIENCE??? A good lesson that i have learned is that… it’s never personal… it’s just business….lol I want the world to know that i am just a kid from chicago that didn’t stop believing in himself despite my short comings and mishaps …

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my bf to a place called are you hungry here ion the south side of chicago… it’s a place that sells great tasting food.. we would also go eat at the grand luxe Me and my bf would go to the the “darling” to chill on late nights… it’s a beautiful place with a pleasant vibe… my drink of choice would be a MOJITO Chicago is full of great museums and exhibits everywhere so that would be in the menu too…

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Amena white who is the mother of my child mezzah… she has been very helpful and supportive of my journey…. The book of proverbs: has been a very influential to my journey… EVERYONE WHO HAS AND WILL SUPPORT MY BRAND DESERVES A SHOUT OUT AS WELL….lbvvs🤣🤣🤣💪🏽
