We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharon Kruschen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sharon, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Being a mom is my favorite job, but when the kids got older and started going to school I wanted something for myself. I’ve always taken my kids on adventures so one day I decided to write about them on my blog. At first I just shared it with family and close friends. But then a friend suggested I add my adventures to Instagram. After posting our adventures, companies started reaching out to us to review their product. From there my page grew from blogger to content creator. My family loves sharing our adventures around the area in hopes other families get out and explore too.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
MamaChitChat.com is a blog for anyone who is looking for something to do, travel tips, recipes and product reviews.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my family and friends visit I always start off by taking them to Malibu! It’s such an iconic spot. From the beach to the cafes. Places like Paradise Cove and Le Cafe De La Plage have great brunch options. Check out the avocado toast, it’s a Southern California staple. Then I would drive them along the 101 pacific highway where we would check out the Santa Monica Pier. Another iconic spot. There’s games, rides and fun carnival style food. Then we would walk over to 3rd street promenade for shopping and Carlo’s Bakery for a sweet treat.

On another day I would take them to the Getty Villa Museum. There we would ride the monorail, visit the butterfly garden and take in the views.

If you are looking to do some tourist things then we would check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, and the Hollywood sign.

If they are looking for a more active adventure then there are some really great hiking spots I would take them.

There’s is always so much to do in Southern California!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When I was a starting out I really didn’t know what to do or where to go. I found SoCal Influential through my friend Vanessa. From there they supported me, showed me tips and tricks and ultimately made a better blogger.
