We had the good fortune of connecting with Shaunita Phillips and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shaunita, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Yoni steaming has been practiced in many ancient, indigenous cultures around the world! While some may think of it as taboo, it’s actually an ancient forgotten wisdom used by medicine women in African, Asian and Mayan cultures. In modern times, it’s growing in popularity in major cites. We held our First Annual Womb Wellness Fair in July to bring awareness that modern medicine is not our only health option! This is a movement for women because our youth need to be provided with this awareness early. Modern medicine has its place in my opinion, however, it is not the only option of healing. How we take care of our bodies are passed down from generation to generation, even when it comes to feminine health and wellness.

What should our readers know about your business?
Not only do we provide spa services and have a wonderful feminine health and wellness product line, we also teach the art of Yoni (Vaginal) Steaming, Womb Conditions, Herbal Therapies, Holistic Health, Business and More! We are passionate about breaking generational curses so we are starting with our youth. We are proud to announce we are hosting our first feminine health and wellness retreat for female seniors in high school. Our Mentoring program (Special Selections) is piloted in Wichita North High School in my hometown Wichita Kansas! This program consists of monthly meetings discussing hot topics that are picked by students, supported by adults specializing in these topics, targeted scholarship information, community service opportunities, all leading to a sisterhood retreat after graduation in May! We are looking for sponsorship and taking donations for this as well!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I start my mornings off light so we would definitely have to go to Sunflower Nutrition to pick up a meal replacement shake and energy tea! I love the Sedgwick County Park it is beautiful for exercising or just relaxing and talking. I love hibachi so we would have to go to Kobe’s Steak house and have a Madame Butterfly to drink with your meal! I am not a person that likes to go to the club so we can go the Alley for Cosmic Bowling and Go carts, plus they have good pizza (AJ’s).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my Mentor Tracey Bryant-Swint for preparing me for stepping into an open market in the Midwest. It is not easy! I have been in public education for the last 15 years and have always mentored young girls no matter what position I was in. While transitioning out of education, I still wanted to be able to support high school seniors as they transitioned to college or to the workforce. She took me under her wing all the way from Atlanta Georgia and now I am doing just that!
