Meet Sherry Shokoohi | Owner and Momtrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherry Shokoohi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sherry, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important thing this business has taught me is to be myself, and the business and/or relationships that are meant to come from it, will. I used to put so much emotion into jobs that I didn’t get or an opportunity that passed me by, and it took an emotional toll. I’ve learned to step back when necessary and focus on all the amazing client’s that DID give me that shot, and I put my all into every client that I work with… Which has thankfully blessed me with more amazing relationships and growth!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Though this all started for fun when I had my daughter, it has become something that I truly enjoy. The days with 2 kids are long, and the evenings are even longer because that’s when I get to create… But, I love it and the zone I get into when I am making custom colors or creating, anddo best when I am given creative freedom.
It does become challenging at times because for the time being, I am still by appointment only and limited to the jobs that I can accept around my mom schedule.
I have big ideas and big plans for our brand! Covid delayed many things, but keep an eye out for a rebrand and new exciting things ahead!!!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I could answer that with an earth, wind, water, fire! I would take them to the most beautiful water front spots I know, like of course Santa Monica Pier, Malibu, down PCH to Newport Coast and my Fav resort Pelican Hill. At night, we’d visit the observatory to do some star gazing. We’d go to Lake Tahoe, Vegas and eat and the best filet at SW steakhouse!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I can say without a doubt, who my shoutout goes to and deserves all the recognition in my story!!!
I got my first big shot in with the Hilton family thanks to an introduction from the most amazing, supportive, humble, badass boss babe… Pamela Brogardi (Celebrity Hair and makeup artist). Instagram @glambypamelab
