We had the good fortune of connecting with Sheyda Entezari and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sheyda, how do you think about risk?
I am a true believer in taking risks. If you know me personally, you know! I put a lot on the line to open my practice. You will never know your potential by sitting in your doubts, start working towards your goals and take the risk.

What should our readers know about your business?
Skin an Aesthetic Salon started with the concept of wanting to make state of the art facial treatments available for all. Opening my own practice was always the goal from the start. It came naturally after working in Aesthetics for a couple years. Building real connections, providing top of the line expertise, and staying innovative is what took me far in business.

Our first location opened in the SF Bay Area, and since then expanded to Los Angeles. We are widely known for our corrective facial transformations and glass like skin results. Some of our highly requested treatments consist of chemical peels, stem cell microneedling, depigmentation systems, and brow lamination.

Lessons that I would give my younger self or anyone that wants to take their business far is to truly be authentic to yourself and take the time to perfect your craft. You are your own competition.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It depends if we’re in the Bay or LA. Either way there’s so much to see.

If we’re in the Bay- we’re going to the city! A hidden gem that you can’t miss is Lolinda in the Mission District, an Argentinian Steakhouse. Tony’s pizza for late night pizza. And shopping on Haight Street, you can find some rare vintage items and clothing.

If we’re in LA I love West Hollywood for food spots! Laurel Hardware is my go to restaurant with a unique interior and atmosphere. Westwood for bakeries and art galleries. Lastly if you’re a coffee person, The Palm Coffee Bar in Burbank is the one.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My grandfather who is no longer here today is the person who inspires me to keep going. He was an entrepreneur at heart and didn’t let anything stop him through the highs and lows, hardships or challenges he may have faced. He showed me that anything you put your mind to is possible. His life is a story of success and hard work. Throughout life, I look back to him and remember to never stop challenging myself.
