Meet Shiloh Baylon | artist, commercial model, singer/songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shiloh Baylon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shiloh, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Huntington Beach, CA and I’ve always been very passionate about performing since I was a little girl. My music has been highly influenced by my dad who is a musician as well. He started introducing music and just singing to me as early as three months and I showed interest and started singing along with him at the age of 18months. Music is life in our family, without music life would be boring. Fun fact about me, I started composing songs before I could even spell and write as young as 4 years old. Now, because of the music training I received all these years with piano, dance, gymnastic and songwriting my song composition is way better and it makes me a versatile performer. Thankful to my parents for supporting me along the way with my dreams.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an 11yr old singer/songwriter and commercial model as well. What sets me apart from others in the industry is my songwriting ability and being an all-around performer. I’ve written songs in the course of years and it’s gotten so much better overtime. As a matter of fact, I just recently released my debut single “MY LIFE” which is available on all music platforms. Songwriting is part of my life and stay tuned as I will be releasing more singles in the near future. I am where I am today because of the support of my parents. They have invested in me doing all classes that can enhance my skills as a performer from dance, songwriting, piano/keyboard, gymnastic and musical theatre classes. I’m also persistent and practices everyday anything that has something to do with my music career. It wasn’t easy especially doing my first few performances but because of the coaching and mentorship of people along the way I was able to overcome the challenges that I need to move forward. I learned that you can’t please everyone and everyone might not like your performance or music but as long as you are having fun and enjoying what you love to do and passionate about that’s what matters the most. My biggest performance by far is singing the National Anthem for Angel City Football Club national soccer team. I challenged myself, focused on what’s in front of me and delivered it with confidence. Lastly, what I want the world to know is I’m very passionate about sharing my music and life especially to aspiring kids out there. I am constantly writing songs and the other song will be out soon as well hoping in the next month or so.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love being so close to the beach and we love our city so much as there are tons of things to do for the family. We live close to the Harbor, so I would take my friend doing kayaking or paddle-boarding while enjoying the scenery of beautiful houses and the water. Also, I would take them on a bike ride going to the beach and eat in some of the well-known restaurants there such as Sanchez Tacos, Waterfront Hotel, and some of the restaurants in Pacific City. Main street is also a nice area where we can hang out, listen to live music and walk to the pier while enjoying the view of the beach.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am definitely where I am right now and getting the attention because I have people supporting me along the way in this journey. First and foremost, I want to thank Sabrina Petrini of KingQueen band for the mentorship and for always believing in me. Also, Paco Arespacochaga of Introvoys for giving me an opportunity to perform in the longest show in my life, tons of nuggets I learned in the entertainment business, what to do and what not and for the mentorship as well as I start my career. Last but not the least, our closest friend Nilo Juaneza Operating Partner of Miracle Mile Entertainment Co for the selfless support, advice and referral to the people who knows the entertainment world. Again, I appreciate and grateful to all of you! Also, to my vocal coach April Malina thank you so much for the knowledge and training she imparted and shared on my vocal trainings.
