Meet Sienna Trifone: Founder and Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sienna Trifone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sienna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It started shortly after my twin girls were born. I quickly learned about children’s boutique clothing and fell in love. I started making some of my own bows. Which progressed into leggings and then just blew up from there. I had learned to sew at a young age from my mom and my grandma. Simple things. But through pinterest and YouTube videos, I was able to teach myself! I really enjoy designing my own patterns and challenging myself with new designs for every season. I recently had a baby boy, and have enjoyed the new challenge of designing some boys things as well!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The first thing I notice with clothing is quality. I’m probably the worst critique! I wanted to create a brand that is really focused on quality. Not only in the clothing itself but the all around experience. I try my best to provide excellent customer service as well. I’m sure there are times I fall short – it’s a one woman show over here! – but it is definitely at the top of my priority list for my customers to have a positive experience when ordering from me. Getting to where I am today has not always been easy. It’s taken me long days and nights, taking care of kiddos and a household full time plus finding the time to devote to nourishing my business. Burning the midnight fuel is a real thing in my house!! Again, shoutout to my husband for being such a huge help and support! When I found out I was having twins, I stumbled across the online buy/sell/trade world of children’s clothing along with a whole community of twin moms who connect for the sole purpose of BSTing their kids clothes. I quickly fell in love with this community, which has grown to be my biggest customer base. I’m so thankful for so many sticking by me as I’ve learned and grown. One of the things that truly makes me so proud, is seeing others so excited to find some of my pieces through BST!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Central Massachusetts, so whenever we have visitors I love to take them into Boston and walk around the North End. A stroll through Faneuil Hall, a visit to modern pastry for some of the best baked goods! Lunch at one of the many Italian restaurants to choose from… and some of my favorite historical sites – the old church, Paul Revere house and the freedom trail – there are so many more! More local to me, I always bring our visitors to the Stone Cow Brewery – some great locally brewed craft beers and amazing farm to table meals!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people throughout my life to shoutout. For now I will focus on my husband. He is my main support through it all. He is always encouraging me, putting up with all my crazy ideas. He’s so understanding of the long hours I spend in my sewing room working on releases and designs. He doesn’t question the crazy amount of time I spend on my phone working on marketing and promoting. He is truly my pillar!
