Meet Sinora Glenn: Fashion Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sinora Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sinora, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
I’m a fashion designer for Actor/Rapper Christopher Glenn’s clothing line… Brand62, I am also a third-generation seamstress/designer. I’ve design clothes for music videos, photo shoots and live performances. Most are especially unaware that I am also a Commercial Actress.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Every since I was a little girl I watched my grandmother pushing the pedal on her vintage shiny black Singer Sewing machine. It was fascinating to me how she taught my mom ( Annette ) how to sew and my mom taught me how to sew. I was very focused and paid attention to details and that led me to my passion… it came easy for me . I started creating urban designs for Los Angeles local Rapper Yung Cory for his music videos and performances and from there the ground was set for the clothing line Brand 62. The lessons that I’ve learned along the way are .. don’t be afraid to be creative, play around with colors and textures … love what you do ( don’t think of it as a job) and The sky is the limit.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First and foremost we must start our day off with COFFEE. Urth Caffe in Pasadena is the spot! Their organically grown coffee has a well balanced taste “ Oh So Good” and must I mention they had an amazing selection of decadent desserts. my favorite dessert has to be the “Chocolate Crown” We would get our coffee to go and scroll down beautiful Colorado Blvd. There’s lots of charming places to shop. Old Pasadena has this amazing Historic walking area that we would create great pics. Porto’s in Burbank is a great spot for lunch. Outside seating in a shaded area is key … lol. The Turkey & Candied Bacon sandwich is a must have.. it has oven Roasted turkey breast, candid bacon, arugula, tomato, pickled red onions and mayonnaise. it also comes with a side of crispy plantains. I always get a box of their famous cheese rolls to go . The staff is always very friendly and courteous. For dinner .. We are taking the scenic route .. driving up Pacific Coast Highway. The mountains are to the right and the ocean is on the left .. ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING! We would take our time and enjoy the scenery and if we look closely we may see a dolphin or two playing in the water. Neptune’s Net in Malibu for seafood is what’s for dinner. It has Fresh seafood that their awesome cooks will cook right on the spot. My favorite is the Neptune’s Net Sampler .. , 2 pieces of fish, 6 shrimps, clams strips, scallops and crab cake. After dinner we would go to El Matador Beach in Malibu and watch the sunset. …. Priceless ! Lastly – return to my home to sip a glass of red wine on my balcony .. what a way to unwind. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. I would give credit to my loving husband Christopher Glenn Sr. of 28yrs. His unconditional Love & Patience is remarkable. I spend hours upon hours in my work room creating amazing designs and my husband always encourages me to continue to do what I love.
