We had the good fortune of connecting with Siti Lu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m always interested in comics and manga growing up. When it was time for applying to College I realize there are not many comic majors out there. I ended up studying character animation at CalArts from 2017-2021. Through my time at CalArts, I found out that storyboarding is very close to comic book storytelling. That’s why I started building my portfolio toward storyboarding direction. I got my first storyboard job at Cartoon Network Studios during my second year. And I’ve been working as a storyboard artist since then.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love mountains and beaches a lot. Basically anywhere i can escape from screen and get closer to the nature. I also enjoyed city sketch, I will bring my sketch book to a places are filled with all kinds of ppl like any flea markets or a cool cafe. It brings me joy to observe other ppl’s life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I get support from a lot of ppl through out my art journey. I want to thank my family the most which supported me studying in the states and allow me to do what I love.
