Meet Sivon The Radiiance | Recording Artist & Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sivon The Radiiance and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sivon, is there something you believe many others might not?
“Fake it til you make it.” I think that saying sets a dangerous norm for the quality of anything created. Of course, anyone who would recommend that as a way of living isn’t exactly concerned with the creativity or the quality of it thereof. But even if they were, it would still be strange to suggest to someone that they present themselves in a false manner in order to succeed. Any industry that rewards fictitiousness should be questioned anyways. Especially if it’s rooted in art.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
That is a packed question. Um, my art is something I have nothing else to thank for but my intuition. So in terms of how it sets me apart, it’s the state of flow I listen to. It’s very personalized, and curated for what I have been through and what I will be through. That part I’m excited about. It might be naive, but I can’t wait to hear what I’ll end up creating with the people that inspire me the most. The people who are the best at what they do, that we’re aware of today, and the intuition that they listen to. Their flow state(s). I’m a bit of a free spirit so, whatever the standard is they’re on the plane of, I think professionally I can match that. I wasn’t always able to say that either. I’ve been witnessing my focus closing in on this exact ‘hobby’ of mine for a long time now. I’m only 21 right now so, it’s been a quarter of my life I’ve been honing this craft. I started when I was 15. Although I have been writing all my life. Still, it wasn’t easy. For a reward like freedom, the path you take will never be easy. I have had moments of great lows. More than I have had moments of great highs. But perseverance is simply built in me when it comes to what I love. Overcoming those horrendous lows is only possible through that exact love, I believe. That’s a crucial lesson I’ve learned. Other escapades I’ve attempted to love have only burned down halfway through. Music is the definitive start. Then the world will come to know, the light shines bright within me. I promise. I’ve fought this system hard to maintain that exact light. The world should know that this light is something we should protect. It stems from love. A true one at that. My brand is all about light, and so is my story. That’s why I have dubbed myself “The Radiiance”.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Unfortunately for the fruit this question was supposed to bear, I will admit I am a bit of a recluse. The social aspect of this city is still something I’ve had to get used to. But, there are still places I adore. Nostalgic sceneries like Riverbank Park and Central Park are contenders. Maybe obvious ones, but contenders nonetheless. Also, the venue scene in this city is unmatched. Plenty of low-key spots that are all trying to be something, and plenty of MASSIVE stadiums that would never die down the hype. I’d take them to see shows. We’d tour the city through and through, witnessing our favorite artists perform like no tomorrow. Even discovering some unknowns who’ve made their first impression on a couple of drunk people enjoying the city. The drinks can dance too. I adore Benihana’s. Their food and culinary experience are so one of a kind to me. We’d eat there. Watch some movies, good and bad. Theaters are becoming a really reliable place of entertainment for the local recluse (me). But for some refreshing air, we’d go to Little Island on 14th street and Riverside, by the piers. I have good energy linking me there. I’d say only then would we call it a vacay and get some rolled ice cream. I’m going home and resting after all that.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
For a broad answer, anyone in the modern day who captures inspiration and spreads that lightning like wildfire. For a specific answer, my family. My blessed, maturing family. Blessings don’t only come in the form of the beholder. Authoritative figures who allow the sporadic to find themselves are blessed too. A lot of people’s hopes don’t get to flourish properly due to immature mistreatment. My household has played a key role in letting the world know who I am and what I do. So thank you. I love you all.
