We had the good fortune of connecting with Solomon Patterson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Solomon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is Jesus, being religious and having faith in God has given me the strength to believe in the impossible. I don’t have fear to take chances because I know that whatever I do will be blessed as long as my intentions are good and I put my trust in my lord and savior. One of my favorite Disney movies is “Peter Pan.” There is a scene where we learn that a fairy named Tinkerbell without pixie dust can’t fly. That metaphor has always been so powerful to me because Ive come to understand that without faith you won’t be able to make your dreams come true.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets my apart from others is that I am an enigma. Im a christian content creator yet im also on reality tv. People can’t figure me out and that’s the point. You always want to keep people guessing or else you won’t have a very long career. Ive been able to be in Seventeen magazines “Hot Guy Panel”, Super Bowl Commercials, & so much more because I know how to captivate an audience and make them curious about who is this Solomon guy they keep seeing pop up everywhere.

My art is creating narratives. In film and entertainment I like to present black aristocracy. I believe the African American male story of growing up in the hood and coming from poverty isn’t representative of the true black experience. Anything I do I always show that Black men enjoy luxury and are educated. We arnt scary and we enjoy the same pleasures as everyone else. A lot of people don’t realize how powerful the black dollar is but the African American spending power is estimated too be worth 3 trillion dollars. So I hope to break the monolithic myth that being black means being inferior.

Ive gotten to the level of success I am at today by nothing but the grace of God. I moved to NYC From Washington DC for college to pursue acting and modeling. I believe because I took the risk of leaving everything I knew behind and made sure I always said my prayers Jesus blessed me so I could do interviews like this and inspire other christians who may want to work in the entertainment industry, It definitely wasn’t easy it took a total of almost 10 years to get the level im at now and this is just the beginning I have so many awesome opportunities im working on and excited to share with the world.

The Biggest lesson ive learned along the way is that everyone wants to be successful but they don’t realize the sacrifice it takes to be great. Diamonds require pressure to shine and the same goes for anybody trying to bring their dreams to reality. Anybody who is great at what they do works very hard but that part is never scene. Nobody gets to see the alone time I spend in prayers asking God for guidance or how many friends ive had to leave behind along the way because our goals were not the same. I stopped socializing and going to parties, ive stopped dating, I committed myself to achieving my goals at any cost and that requires 100 percent focus. Its not easy to be great but its definitely worth it. I would tell anyone that when you go after your dreams be okay with no one supporting you in the beginning you have to be your greatest supporter until your able to show proof and manifest what your trying to achieve.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The first place I would take anyone visiting LA to is the Hollywood walk of fame. Its really inspiring to see your favorite celebrities stars on the boulevard. The next place I would go is to Runyon canyon; Its like heaven on earth its so beautiful and you get a great workout for free, I usually like to go three times a week to get my mind focused. For Dinner I would take them to BOAS Steakhouse because there is a 50 percent chance you will see somebody famous and it was my first time seeing actual paparrazi that worked for TMZ, It gives you the whole im in Hollywood feeling. Also another great place is Saddle ranch in West Hollywood all the influencers go there for drinks and to hangout so its cool being able to see some of your favorite TikTokers and Youtubers. The last place I would take them is Malibu because driving on the 405 listening to music is really fun and its also the best beach in my opinion in LA

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would first like to thank God and the Bible for giving me direction and strength. Also I would like to shoutout my mother Francene Patterson for being my biggest fan and supporter to help me reach my dreams! She always told me that I would be famous and that I should never give up. She has invested so much of her resources into helping me become the greatest version of myself. My mom would believe in me during times that I didn’t even believe in myself. In addition I would like to thank my father Leslie Patterson for allowing me to chase my dreams even when he didn’t completely understand my goals in the beginning he still helped me to move to NYC and later Los Angeles to bring my Vision to life. Lastly I would like to thank My sister Tam Pearson for her love and always being a friend I can talk too and my also nephews Josh Pearson and Bj. My nephew Josh is the younger and smarter version of me so I hope that by me accomplishing my dreams he knows that anything is possible for him as well.
