We had the good fortune of connecting with Stas Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stas, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to see what I was truly capable of—what I could build when the results depended entirely on me. That challenge, that responsibility, really motivated me to take the leap.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our story isn’t flashy—it’s built on hustle, heart, and a lot of late-night takeout. We started our business while still working full-time jobs. Days were for clocking in. Nights were for building our dream. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth every bit of sweat and sleep we gave up.

We didn’t just want to own a sign company—we wanted to know every inch of it. So we did everything ourselves. Designed. Printed. Installed. Fixed machines. Met with clients. Pulled permits. You name it—we did it (and probably did it at 2 a.m. with coffee in hand).

What sets us apart? We care. Like, really care. This isn’t just a business—it’s our pride. We’ve walked in every pair of shoes in this industry, and that’s what gives us an edge. We know how to solve problems fast, deliver quality, and keep clients happy—because we’ve been on the front lines since day one.

Now, we’re running a full 8,000-square-foot production shop. It’s wild to think about, honestly. We’re proud of how far we’ve come—but even more excited about where we’re headed.

Biggest lesson learned? Don’t wait for perfect conditions. Just start. Make mistakes. Learn fast. Keep going. The wins will come.

What do we want the world to know? We’re not just building signs—we’re building something that means something. For us, for our families, for the people we work with. This business is our American Dream—and we’re just getting started.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, let’s start with a morning stroll through The Huntington Library in Pasadena—the gardens are beautiful and peaceful, and it’s a great way to kick off the day. After that, I’d go for lunch at Sugarfish, because honestly, you can’t go wrong with sushi done right.

For the second half of the day, it’s off to the Getty Museum—incredible art, stunning views, and just a great atmosphere to take it all in. And to finish the day right, dinner at Beverly Grill—classic, elegant, and always a solid choice.

Next day? Catalina Island. I’d spend it snorkeling or diving at Casino Point, one of the best dive spots in the world. Crystal-clear water, tons of marine life—it’s like another planet. Then I’d wrap the day with dinner at The Lobster Trap, a local favorite and a perfect end to a beach-day adventure.

But honestly, the best part is that even after 11 years of living here, I’m still discovering new places, new flavors, and great local businesses. L.A. and its surroundings never get old—it just keeps surprising you.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without a doubt, I owe a huge part of my journey to my business partner. We started this from the ground up together—working long hours, pushing through challenges, and always believing in the bigger picture. That kind of support is rare, and it made all the difference.

I also want to give a shoutout to all the people we worked with in the early days—shop owners, mentors, even tough clients. Every experience, good or bad, helped shape who we are today. And of course, our families, who stood by us even when we were barely sleeping and working non-stop—they deserve more credit than anyone.
